About Me

I am pushing 50, but still love to hear from, sing with, hang with, rock with, anybody who's young-hearted. I'm in my fifth year at the same address, and my second year of pastoring not one but two little country churches. I was absolutely THRILLED to get invited to be a part of this new endeavor - and I am available to help with whatever needs helped with in the Central Ohio area.
Interests
guitar, motorcycle (BMW), garden with my wife and kids, community theatre, and I'm still trying to teach myself to juggle - 30 years and I'm finally starting to see some hope for improvement!
Movies
Here's ten favorites in no particular order, but I'll watch any time they're shown: It's a Wonderful Life, La Vida e Bella (Italian with subtitles), Babbette's Feast (Danish with subtitles), all 3 Lord of the Rings epics (cheating to have 3 for 1, I know, I know...), The Inn of the Sixth Happiness, Casablanca, The Princess Bride, Monty Python and the Holy Grail, Father Goose, True Grit
Music
I still dig Kansas, BS&T, BTO, Badfinger, Steely Dan, and the Doobies before Michael McDonald joined. Love the folk music scene, and world music as an extension of that. Some Christian music, mostly the kind that won't get played on most Christian stations. Okay, Switchfoot, Jars of Clay; but also Disciple, Family Force Five, Five Iron Frenzy (sob. sigh.), Hawk Nelson, Sheltershed, Flyleaf, Pillar, the Afters, and Skillit, which rocketh my face off; and also two guys from back in the day that are still making pretty good stuff, Randy Stonehill and Phil Keaggy.
Books
Terry Pratchett's "Discworld" books! Stephen R. Donaldson's first 6 "Thomas Covenant" books; TLOTR - with the prelude; The Narnia books, "The Great Divorce," "The Screwtape Letters," "The Weight of Glory," "A Grief Observed," and "Miracles" by Lewis; "I Francis" by Caretto, "I'm Out to Change My World" by Ann Kiemel, "The Jesus I Never Knew" and "What's So Amazing About Grace" by Phillip Yancey; "Cages of Pain" by Gordon Aeschlimann
Television
House, Heroes, Mythbusters, Futurama; Family Guy (working on the theory of "keep your friends close and your foes closer"); M*A*S*H reruns; and - Am I a geek for still liking "Survivor?" -- and "The Amazing Race"? --and "American Idol"? Tough.
