My name is Dawn. I'm married to a wonderful man and have two
daughters. I've been a Christian for 34 years now. And I can honestly
say that even in so many years I have learned that I know so very
little. My life is a true rollercoaster ride. In the last year God has
brought our family to a little jewel in the desert called Living
Springs Community Church . They are small but mighty. It's a good thing
that God doesn't care so much about the numbers as He does the quality
of one's heart. I believe that prayer is the most powerful tool God has give us. These are a few of my favorite verses: 12:3 And they that are wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever.
4:7 Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is begotten of God, and knoweth God.
4:8 He that loveth not knoweth not God; for God is love.
4:9 Herein was the love of God manifested in us, that God hath sent his only begotten Son into the world that we might live through him.
4:10 Herein is love, not that we loved God, but that he loved us, and sent his Son `to be' the propitiation for our sins.
4:11 Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
4:12 No man hath beheld God at any time: if we love one another, God abideth in us, and his love is perfected in us:
4:13 hereby we know that we abide in him and he in us, because he hath given us of his Spirit.
4:14 And we have beheld and bear witness that the Father hath sent the Son `to be' the Saviour of the world.
4:15 Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God abideth in him, and he in God.
4:16 And we know and have believed the love which God hath in us. God is love; and he that abideth in love abideth in God, and God abideth in him.
4:17 Herein is love made perfect with us, that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as he is, even so are we in this world.
4:18 There is no fear in love: but perfect love casteth out fear, because fear hath punishment; and he that feareth is not made perfect in love.
4:19 We love, because he first loved us.
4:20 If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, cannot love God whom he hath not seen.
4:21 And this commandment have we from him, that he who loveth God love his brother also.
3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth on him should not perish, but have eternal life.
3:17 For God sent not the Son into the world to judge the world; but that the world should be saved through him.
17:1 These things spake Jesus; and lifting up his eyes to heaven, he said, Father, the hour is come; glorify thy Son, that the son may glorify thee:
17:2 even as thou gavest him authority over all flesh, that to all whom thou hast given him, he should give eternal life.
17:3 And this is life eternal, that they should know thee the only true God, and him whom thou didst send, `even' Jesus Christ.
17:4 I glorified thee on the earth, having accomplished the work which thou hast given me to do.
17:5 And now, Father, glorify thou me with thine own self with the glory which I had with thee before the world was.
17:6 I manifested thy name unto the men whom thou gavest me out of the world: thine they were, and thou gavest them to me; and they have kept thy word.
17:7 Now they know that all things whatsoever thou hast given me are from thee:
17:8 for the words which thou gavest me I have given unto them; and they received `them', and knew of a truth that I came forth from thee, and they believed that thou didst send me.
17:9 I pray for them: I pray not for the world, but for those whom thou hast given me; for they are thine:
17:10 and all things that are mine are thine, and thine are mine: and I am glorified in them.
17:11 And I am no more in the world, and these are in the world, and I come to thee. Holy Father, keep them in thy name which thou hast given me, that they may be one, even as we `are'.
17:12 While I was with them, I kept them in thy name which thou hast given me: and I guarded them, and not one of them perished, but the son of perdition; that the scripture might be fulfilled.
17:13 But now I come to thee; and these things I speak in the world, that they may have my joy made full in themselves.
17:14 I have given them thy word; and the world hated them, because they are not of the world, even as I am not of the world.
17:15 I pray not that thou shouldest take them from the world, but that thou shouldest keep them from the evil `one'.
17:16 They are not of the world even as I am not of the world.
17:17 Sanctify them in the truth: thy word is truth.
17:18 As thou didst send me into the world, even so sent I them into the world.
17:19 And for their sakes I sanctify myself, that they themselves also may be sanctified in truth.
17:20 Neither for these only do I pray, but for them also that believe on me through their word;
17:21 that they may all be one; even as thou, Father, `art' in me, and I in thee, that they also may be in us: that the world may believe that thou didst send me.
17:22 And the glory which thou hast given me I have given unto them; that they may be one, even as we `are' one;
17:23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be perfected into one; that the world may know that thou didst send me, and lovedst them, even as thou lovedst me.
17:24 Father, I desire that they also whom thou hast given me be with me where I am, that they may behold my glory, which thou hast given me: for thou lovedst me before the foundation of the world.
17:25 O righteous Father, the world knew thee not, but I knew thee; and these knew that thou didst send me;
17:26 and I made known unto them thy name, and will make it known; that the love wherewith thou lovedst me may be in them, and I in them.
Oh who am I kidding it all my favorite! On a more personal note ...I am disabled. I'm physically challeged due to an arthritic condition and autoimmune disease . The doctor are still in the process of diagnosing me so I will be able to say more hopefully soon. I know that some would see this as a problem but I don't . I know that before I was born God knew that this was going to happen and He worked it in to His plan. I may not run again but I sure can talk to everyone and get this they listen sometimes .=) Who know God may heal me in this life time but if He doesn't that's ok to . Because I'm not broke. And I remeber the story of the shepard that had to brake the legs of the sheep that was head of the cliff. The shepard broke it's leg to save him and then he cared the sheep until it healed. It's not a bad place to be . Your always close to the Master teacher. Even if you hurt.=) I used to ask why now I say why not? I 'm not perfect I still overreact when things go wrong. Still praying overcome that one. But Jesus still forgives me (go figure?) We mess up constantly but keep pressing forward and He forgives us? Amazing.How could you not love a friend like that? He's my prize at the end when I go home. For today I rest in the security of the Lord's hands because His blood has washed my soul. I am so glad that a day is like a thousand years to the Lord . |
