I've been born again since I was 16. Though attending the Lutheran church all my life, I never really considered myself a true believer until I accepted the Lord at a concert (at a Lutheran church) during the Jesus movement of the 70's (gosh, I feel ancient). Boy, am I ever glad I made that decision! In fact, recently I've been looking up acquaintances from that era to simply thank them for being a special part in my life - some are doing great, some aren't, and some I'm still looking for!
I play guitar and have been doing so since I was "knee-high to a toad" (12 years old). I was always convinced that I was going to minister in music - that's all I've ever wanted to do. Early foundational decisions about my career and life were all centered around this calling. I discovered a few years ago that all I ever wanted to do in the music ministry, I'm doing - it just didn't turn out like I thought it would. I met my lovely wife through this ministry, and my kids are also called to it. I currently serve in the Pathway worship team and just love it. Looking to serve many more years, though it looks like my role is going to change again... |
