Over the last couple of weeks I have been having tests done on reaccurent pain in my thyroid - and since its been getting worse lately (feverish, extreme fatigue, trouble sleeping, appetite fading in and out) I called and asked to be seen.
Good thing that I did. Apparently I have a multi nodule goiter and that they want to do a serious of tests to find out if it could be cancerous.
Yeah.
The doctor ( who I am starting to like because he wants to see whats going wrong inside me) is going to set me up with an Endocrinologist (on an urgent basis) who I will see sometime next week. (His name is Apricio - and the baseball fan in me loved that as that was the name of one of my favorite players growing up). Apparently there is to be a thyroid scan and then perhaps a biopsy to find out whats going on.
Wanted to let you know. Will try and keep you up to date.
