I am the proud pastor of Willis Chapel AME Church in Kansas City, MO. We strive to live holy and upright lives and the Lord is blessing us at Willis! I am the proud husband of Rev. Rochelle and father to Jeremiah, Zachary and Madison.

It's all about the cross. The cross reminds me that God requires more from me and more from us. The cross - a symbol of suffering, shame, humiliation, self-denial and sacrifice. Christ paid it all for me, on the cross. I must pray more, I must study more, I must do more, all because of my faith in Him, and what He did on the cross. Even though He was the Son of God, He did not come down from the cross. So what can I do? I must deny self, pick up my cross and follow Christ. Do what He did, act like He acted, love like He loved, forgive like He forgives, and serve, like He served! To God be the glory!
