| I got a great life! I have been married to denise (the world's most impressive woman) for 13 years. we have two great kids..dylan cash (after bob and johnny) and veronika grace (made in india). dylan is almost 5 and veronika is almost 1. both are full of life and make us laugh on a daily basis. i have been blessed to serve people from around the world over the past 13 years. i have been a campus minister at purdue university, a pastor in midtown manhattan and greenwich village and a missionary in india. i also have worked with great students at evangel university and in southern asia at southern asia bible college. i cannot begin to explain how much my life has been enriched by the relationships i have developed in every place i've been.
currently, i am focusing my energies on human trafficking (particularly forced prostitution). this has given me opportunity to speak all over the us at various colleges, universities, and churches. I am currently itinerating with my family raising our missions budget to begin a new work in NY/NJ. We want to rescue and restore international victims of forced prostitution. if you are part of a church or attending a university somewhere and your campus ministry is interested in how to respond to human trafficking let me know and we can set something up.
personally, i am from the west but for whatever reason GOD keeps me moving east...any more moves east i'll be living in southern california. i love ideas and i love people. my college dean wrote on his letter of recomendation for me that "mike thinks outside the box but he will never hurt you". i like that because as great as ideas are (and i have some good ones) in the end it is really about the peeps. i'm a jock who wishes he was an artist...an academic who really only cares how theories affect people...a big picture guy looking for a workable entry into that picture. i think influence is better than power and action speaks louder than words (a cliche i am still working on). i think tv sucks although i watch too much of it...starbucks is the antichrist although they make great joe...and nascar, though at times entertaining, is not a sport. i think the news makes you dumb though i like to be informed...bill maher is an arrogant bigot but he makes me laugh...pro wrestling showcases the worst our culture has to offer but i love mick foley, ric flair, kurt angle, and hulk hogan. i like satellite radio, and tivo though i have neither...i did like my ipod 'till it was stolen...
i could go on but i've bored you enough...besides this is written on 3 hours sleep so its probably incoherant anyway. i will say that i love jesus' sermon on the mount and all those who work to live its truth...christ really does make ALL things new and blessed are those who proclaim THAT... | | Interests GOD,
