Born a Hoosier, raised a Chicagoan, a lifetime Lutheran. Eternal Cubs fan. Second-generation removed from a 4/4 German heritage, grandparents immigrated to the US inbetween the Great Wars (I and II), just in time for our own Great Depression. Both parents born and raised in the Chicago area. Mom passed away when I was 17; Dad is still around to keep his oldest son straight. Third generation engineer. Blessed with one wife (34 years) and three children -- Daniel (23), Sarah (21), and Samuel (19) -- companions as well as family. Starting on a new career -- former engineer, CFO, management consultant, project manager, and stay-at-home Dad becomes financial 'advisor'. "Would you like whole life with that?"
