"And a certain man lame from his mother's womb was carried, whom they laid daily at the gate of the temple which is called Beautiful, to ask alms from those who entered the temple. ... Then Peter said, "Silver and gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, rise up and walk." Acts 3:2,6
Many times in our daily lives we are encountered by things or circumstances that may cause our spiritual lives to suffer. Sometimes we are unforgiving, or sometimes we hold on to past pains and hurts that may make us bitter or angry. We may be disappointed with they way things are going in our lives and may wonder, "God, why is this happening to me"? We shoudn't sit around throwing "pity parties" and shut the world out, rather we should seek direction from God and ask HIM to order our steps in HIS word. Pray without ceasing asking God to deliver you from your "spiritual bondage". Rise up! Take up your "bed" and walk!
DON'T BE CRIPPLE!!

Daily Devotion "Whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved." Romans 10:13
People have many different reasons for rejecting the gospel. A common one is to blame Christians for something they did or did not do. These critics say, "I know a Christian who treated me poorly," or "I went to church and noone talked to me."
Indeed, Christians aren't perfect, and many can be bad examples, but blaming others doesn't remove one's accountability to God. The truth of the gospel does not depend on the way others live out their faith. Salvation is about Jesus alone. Romans 10:9 says,"If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved."
Some people may use Christians as an excuse to reject the gospel, but they certainly can't point a finger of blame at Jesus. HE is sinless and perfect in every way. Pilate said of Him, "I have found no fault in this Man"(Luke 23:14). Jesus did what no one else could do--HE suffered death on a cross to provide salvation for all who believe in Him. That makes it tough for someone to say, "I'm not going to become a Christian because I don't like what Jesus did."
Don't get sidetracked by looking at the faults of others. Look to Jesus. He alone is the way to heaven. Dave Brannon

We need to continually purge our thoughts because we become what we think! It is not just the lust that we must clean out, but also low self-esteem, pride, arrogance, hidden jealously, and much more.
If you don't want depression, why do you continue to rehearse those same sickening thoughts that led you there in the first place? "For as he thinks in his heart, so is he." Proverbs 23:7a
OUR MINDS ARE CONTINUALLY BEING RECONSTRUCTED BY THE HOLY SPIRIT. HE WANTS TO PUT NEW THOUGHTS WITHIN US THAT WILL ENABLE US TO SOAR ABOVE OUR PAST AND FILL US WITH A GREAT SENSE OF DESTINY.
Most of us come to the Lord damaged--dead spiritually, damaged emotionally, and decaying physically. When He saved us, He made our dead spirit alive!
We all need the Lord to help us with ourselves. We came to Him as condemned buildings, and He reopened the places that Satan thought would never be inhabited. The Holy Spirit moved in, and He brought His hammers and saws with Him.

BUT I TELL YOU: LOVE YOUR ENEMIES AND PRAY FOR THOSE WHO PERSECUTE YOU, THAT YOU MAY BE SONS OF YOUR FATHER IN HEAVEN.
"And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive him, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins."
Then Peter came to Him and said,"Lord, how often shall my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? Up to seven times?" Jesus said to him, "I do not say to you, up to seven times, but up to seventy times seven." (Matt 18:21-22)
Do not say, "I'll pay you back for this wrong!" Wait for the Lord, and He will deliver you.
