This is a title of one of James Cleveland's Songs; but to me it means so much more. As I mature into a woman of God I find myself seeing things that I used to do that I don't do no more and I won't turn back. I go to church, I trust in the Lord because the bible says that if I cry out to him he will hear me. I can not take things into my own hands and think that everything is ok when in reality its not.
I go to church to hear the word of God explained to me so that I may understand just a little bit more what it is that God wants us to do. We can not expect to be treated with respect if we cannot give it.
Train a child in the way that they should go and they will not depart from it.
If you have a problem why let it fester and make you upset. Why not set it in God's hands and let him take care of it for you. When we pray at the altar we are suppose to leave all of our burdens there. When we take communion we are not suppost to have unforgiveness in our hearts because if we do we will be guilty of the body and the blood of the Lord.
John 3:16 says for God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son that whosoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.
Do you see the sacrifice God made for us by sending Jesus down here to die for our sins just to have us not trust in him?
51:1 Have mercy upon me, O God, according to thy lovingkindness: according unto the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my transgressions.
51:2 Wash me throughly from mine iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
51:3 For I acknowledge my transgressions: and my sin [is] ever before me.
51:4 Against thee, thee only, have I sinned, and done [this] evil in thy sight: that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest, [and] be clear when thou judgest.
51:5 Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.
51:6 Behold, thou desirest truth in the inward parts: and in the hidden [part] thou shalt make me to know wisdom.
51:7 Purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean: wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow.
51:8 Make me to hear joy and gladness; [that] the bones [which] thou hast broken may rejoice.
51:9 Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all mine iniquities.
51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
51:11 Cast me not away from thy presence; and take not thy holy spirit from me.
51:12 Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation; and uphold me [with thy] free spirit.
51:13 [Then] will I teach transgressors thy ways; and sinners shall be converted unto thee.
51:14 Deliver me from bloodguiltiness, O God, thou God of my salvation: [and] my tongue shall sing aloud of thy righteousness.
51:15 O Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall shew forth thy praise.
