About Me

My name is Nikia Scott, I like moonlit strolls along the beach, horseback riding...wait, this isn't a dating website. Just kidding! I gave my life to Christ on October 31, 1997. Almost ten years now! That was the most amazing experience I've ever had. Around age 14 I remember thinking that getting saved was something I had to do. It was just something that resounded within me that I had to do someday. I also thought that salvation was for 90 year-old ladies who had no more fun planned and I would just wait until then. One day I was getting my hair done and my hairdresser asked, Nikia, have you given your life to Christ? As soon as she asked me I felt the Holy Spirit indwell within me right then. I couldn't speak. Maybe that's because the next words out of my mouth would be for God's glory. I started to cry and she prayed with me. Whenever I begin to doubt this whole thing, I think about that day and what a supernatural experience that was and I KNOW that Jesus is real and that I'm saved.

I like to laugh and have a good time. I'm 31 and looking forward to all that God has for me. I love the Tar Heels (had to get that in there!) and I'm enjoying life. It's been a long road to be able to say that but praise God I can say it!

Interests

This is my opportunity to again mention my love for the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. I love everything UNC; basketball, football, baseball, volleyball, track, soccer, debate, chess, skateboard club, everything. My niece Grace is pictured in the photo with me on this website. I have a sister Jonri and her husband, my brother-in-law Kenny. My parents John and Melva are great and they all live in town in Raleigh. I love my family and my friends, music, movies, ice cream, hearty meals and laughing.
