About Me

I work in the office of Osborne Neighborhood Church in Arleta, CA.
I'm not a pastor (have never aspired to be one  --  just not my "gifting" to do that task in the kingdom of God.)    However, what I do  (a little bit of everything else within my "giftings")  I try to do well.

Sometimes I get a little "stressed" over the small stuff  -  gotta' let the Lord work on that.
Other than that , .... I'm perfect !!!   ( ......OK, for those who know me well enough, you can pretend that you never read that last little statement  .........   because you know that it is FAR from true ! ............... but tryin' to work on all my other "issues")
OK, I'm worn-out now  -- gotta' go !

Bye,   Burt
Movies
Favorite movie so far "Dave" - a real "feel-good" movie when it's all over and the credits are rolling. For someone who would like to "make a difference".
Music
Big Band era swing-dance style of music. (40's & 50's) Some of that music has translated to come from groups of a more modern era . Also I like the music of Frank Sinatra & more recently, Harry Conick Jr., Steve Tyrell, Michael Buble ..... & others. Also, I like Andrea Bocelli Christian: much of Steven Curtis Chapman. Some of Michael W. Smith (especially his "Christmastime" album - that is sooooo very pleasant to listen to). ...Bob Andrade & the U.B. ........ and most ALL of Doug & Teresa Martin's music !
Books
........... OK, so the last 3 don't count
Television
Not much TV watching. Mostly movies. However, a few TV series really did catch my interest. Smallville was probably my over-all favorite. Roswell was another one that I found compelling and entertaining. Then we start moving further back in time: Moonlighting was a delight. and then we jump way back to a series starring Robert Hayes as an alien (this kind was from "another planet", not just from another country) .....WHAT was the name of that series program anyway ????? "Starman" ?? or something like that. We'll end my comments with that -- because if we go back to what I remember of when television first came on the air (when I was a kid) ...... well, then you might get an idea of just how old I actually AM ! (so we won't even MENTION that ! .............oops ! Did I just think all of that out loud?) ok ............. on to other stuff
