Entry for September 3, 2007 magnify Change of status begins with change of desire. Until you change your desire you can never have a change of status. Many of us are wishing and hoping that some days things will change by themselves, things have to change with a change of desire begins with a reaction. There must be a reaction in your soul to your present situation. God bless you according to your desire to your shouting. The level of your desire determines the measure of your blessings. In church many people make a lot of assumptions. Some people assume by virtue of being long in the church, God is going to bless them. Your desire does not only limit you it also limits God because in the law of the spirit God is not permitted to bless you beyond your desire. It takes a desire to break the limit. It is important for you to express strong desire that births fervent prayers, which result into quick answer. Your desire is your limit. Wherever you desire can reach is where you’re blessing will reach. Luke 16 tells the story of two people and how their desire made a difference. From verse 19, there was a certain rich man that was cloth in purple and fine linen, God is not against your looking good. Verse 20 says, and there was a certain beggar named Lazarus, who was laid at his gate, full of sores. Verse 21, desiring to be fed with the crumbs which fell from the rich man table; this is the limit of Lazarus. The rich man was feeding very well while Lazarus while Lazarus was hanging around his table waiting for his crumbs. Psalm 23:5 says, that God has set a table before you there is no reason why you need to fix your eyes on someone else’s table when God you can have your own table set before you. The truth is many of us have limited ourselves and God’s blessing as a result of the level of our desires. The rich man believes in riches and God gave it to him, Lazarus believes in crumbs and God gave it to him. God is not a lawbreaker, he has the ability to bless you but He will not impose blessing on you. Jesus speaking in Revelation said, Behold I stand at the door knocking, if anyone will open and invite me, and then I will come in and sup with him. God does not break any man’s door; He will knock at your door and wait according to your desire. Desire is not just a wish; everybody can wish anything he wants. Wishes are passive, it doesn’t take anything to wish whatever you want, but true desire is compelling. When you have a genuine desire, there is something that moves on your inside, it produces such aggressiveness that makes for progression in life. True desire is like fire shot up in your bone, it will make you to aspire for something different and for something new. When desire is in place, it reflects in your desperation, it shows in the way you think, it shows in your utterances and reflections in your action. It is a form of eagerness that keeps driving you until your get what you want. When Hannah went to Shiloh she came with such eagerness that she could no more be denied. The previous years she has been coming to express her wish, to complain and murmuring and make her mates a reference point. And as long as she made a reference to individuals around her, she could not get the blessing. Your neighbors are not responsible for whatsoever blessing you don’t have, because your own blessing has your name tag on it waiting for you. The day she come with hot desire and desperation and pours forth her desire before the Lord. And when the Lord saw her desperation, the miracle she wanted was delivered to her. Man’s desire always places a demand on God virtue. The woman with the issue of blood desperately came from nowhere some day and she pressed through the crowd. When your desire is hot, your limitations are broken. In her human weakness she pressed through the crowd because there was a strong desire in her. Everything you need has been provided for by God, it is only waiting for the ticket of your desire to make it available to you. God is not your limit, no man is your limit you are the limit of your life and you can remove that limit, as you put up a strong desire in your soul for God’s blessing today in the precious name of Jesus Christ. HOW DO YOU BUILD YOUR DESIRE? Knowledge remains the fountain of desire. The understanding that what you are looking for is available and has a way of stirring up your interest. You cannot be inform on what is available and remain passive. The cure to passiveness is knowledge. Knowledge intoxicates and fires the soul. This is the reason why the devil would do whatsoever he can to keep you away from knowledge. Knowledge is dangerous to the devil. Satan is never scared of your prayer as he is concerning your search for knowledge. He would do everything he can to keep you away from learning because he knows that in a short while you will come across something that will lighten you and free you from his oppression. When you are deficiency to knowledge, you operate with a weak desire. The whole essence of scripture is to give you a picture of your future. Blind Bartimaeus sat by the road side, begging for alms from people. The Bible tells us that some day we hear a crowd passing by and I could picture him grab somebody and ask him what is the matter here, what’s happening here? And somebody told him, Jesus was passing by. As soon as he heard that Jesus was passing by, concerning whom he has heard information before, he stood up and became to shout at the top of his voice, calling for help. The Bible said that Jesus stood and bade him to come. Though some fellow were trying to stop him, but it didn’t matter to him, he remove his dress so he could go to him and like I said humorously, that is the first blind man I have ever heard of, that ran. I am sure if there is Olympic for blind people today, Bartimaeus would win. Out of desperation nothing could hold him down. And when he came, Jesus asked, “what do you want me to do for you?” But Bartimaeus said “that I am may receive my sight.” And Jesus gave him his sight. Jesus doesn’t make any assumption. If Bartimeaus has said I want a change of clothe, Jesus would have given him only a change of clothe. When you come to discover that your God has said that he will prosper above all the nations of the earth, you cannot be passive anymore. When you discovered by revelation, that all that the devil has stolen from you shall be restored back to you beyond your imagination, you cannot fold your hand anymore. Something inside you becomes to stir up to possess your possession. The stronger the revelation, the stronger your desire, the more fervent your prayer, the quicker your answer arrives. One major reason while people are robbed of their desire is because they lack the attitude of desire. Their eyes are fixed on things rather than on God. In Psalm 37:1; the word of God says, delight yourself also in the Lord and he shall give thee the desire of thine heart. Many have approached God as if he is a wicked God. Psalm 112:1 says, praise ye the Lord. Blessed is the delight greatly in his commandments. That is a man that is always excited in his presence, his delight is in the word of the Lord, even though he has not seen miracles, his delight is so strong in God. Express great excitement, as if what you are looking has been delivered to you already. God has taken none of your desire, and he’s busy working it out. What people call delay is not delayed but perfection time? In the Vocabulary of God there is nothing called delay? When it is getting delayed, it is because God is perfecting it. When it is like it is getting delayed, it’s because god is trying to make news with your life.
