About Me
I am Mary Jean Hays aka MJ.  I have lived in henry county all of my life. Born a UGA fan and always will be. I am married to Dennis Hays. We have been married just over a year now.  The weekend that we were married I became a spouse again, a step mom to 2 grown children and a few days later a GrandMommy!  So we have Hannah age 8, Jonathan age 11, Jennifer age 24, Dennis III age 26, Heather age 24 (daugher-in law) and Logan is our grandson who is 16 months old and Skylar who is on the way, he is due on January 25th. Aunt Hannah is excited that he may be born on her birthday.

I met Dennis when I was working in downtown Atlanta. 6 months after we were married, we made the decision for me to quite working out side of the home. What a change that was for me, I had never been so blessed before. To make the change did take several months for me get use to it. I had always been the independant one, now I was depending on someone else. God blessed me with the understanding of why I am where I am. Here is where I am today with my own business, something that I had never ever dreamed of.  Through preparing several meals for Pastor's Scott and Veronica there at the church, we felt God calling us into a business of our own. My Catering was born!

I have big dreams for My Catering to grow and become something that no one has ever seen.  Paula Deen on the food network who has a restaurant in Savannah often talks about her start; however no where is God in any of her testimony of her success. I don't want to be one the food network, but I do want to have a tea room and give God all of the praise and glory for it. I don't want to be known as the most expensive place in town.  I want to help those who want a nice event, but doesn't want to break the bank, to be able to have that.  My heart is full of ideas and desires to help.  Preparing meals to me isn't just about the cooking, it is a feeding of the spirit and soul. To gather around a table and eat a meal together is healing no matter who you are or what you are about.  To see people enjoying themselves talking, laughing, eating that is a blessing to me.

Dennis and I love to travel, we have not been able to do it as much as we would like. We usually take 2 vacations a year and with several weekend get aways to the mountains or a beach somewhere. This spring break we are going on our second cruise.  (The first one was just us, this time Hannah and Jonathan will be with us.) The kids do not understand right now what it means to go on a cruise.  The size of the ship etc.... I am so excited that God blessed me with a wonderful husband that cares enough about my kids  to allow them such pleasures that I had never dreamed of at their age. Dennis is my Mr. Wonderful!

See ya'll around the church and I will probably be planning on how to feed someone or either in the process of feeding someone! Blessing to all of ya'll.
