About Me

I am no longer my own, but Yours.
Put me to what You will; rank me with whom You will. Put me to doing; put me to suffering. Let me be employed for You or laid aside for You. Let me be full; let me be empty. Let me have all things; let me have nothing...
I truly and heartily yield all things to Your pleasure and disposal.

John Wesley, 1780. Some things never chance!

Hey Doug! My sociology teacher wrote this in her latest lecture:

"Where are we today?  Answer that for yourself, you have a nice notebook computer, but if food cannot grow in the earth, you cannot plant seeds in your notebooks."

I'm still laughing about it ten minutes later.

Do you understand what she's saying?

Actually, I don't find you boring at all. You fall under the arstist catagory. You are a musician and a writer. That makes you very much not boring. Also, I wrote that blog using a persona not of my own. I don't generally believe any of the stuff that I write...I just write it so that others can get a kick out of it. I love everyone...and think that everyone is special in their own God given way. I just get bored sometimes and feel compelled to write blogs. Just wait for my next one! God Bless.

Dear Doug,  At last!!  I kept not getting your messages because of my clumsiness with the process.  But now I finally have read all your messages, with Laurie H's. help and can reply.  I totally agree with your assessment concerning revival!  Personally, the last 6 months God has been deally with me in a very strict manner concerning big and little sins.  And I have talked to others that He has been moving in a similar manner.  How can He accomplish anything in this world with a bunch of believers that all like to do things their OWN WAY and not HIS.  So I believe that judgement is beginning at the house of God now.
I also believe it is good to define some of these things because it can mean so many different things to different people.  I truly identified with your assessment and believe that the signs and wonders that everyone longs for comes with obedience to His word and perhaps some moving in obedience is the igniting thing for the revival that is the Big Deal, like Jonathan Edwards, etc.
I will agree with you in prayer that our LORD will impress upon our dear ones at ONC what is our next step!    Your friend, Darla
