Thank you Jeff for your comment regarding C. S. Lewis' "A Grief Observed." I am about to read his "Inspirational Writings" which includes four titles - the first being "Surprised by Joy." I had recently seen a program on PBS (I think) of his life with Joy Gresham. Even though I knew the story it moved me to go to the library for the above-mentioned books. In fact I'd like to buy my own copy of "A Grief Observed" to have it handy on my shelf. (Actually I have to buy two because I fell outside the church last Sunday, getting the library book all bloody from my torn lip which required 4 stitches.)
Referring back to to Gratitude Journal - I surely wrote my gratitude for not having broken any teeth or bones with that fall - and it was into the only puddle on the sidewalk going up to the rectory!
I haven't read any of the books you mentioned but shall make a list of them. I'm usually a "novel" reader and some biographies. I won't borrow any of your books - I'd rather borrow them from the library in my own time. How kind of you to offer.
See you Sunday in church. Blessings always, Dolores
