Hi, my name is Lucy Rios. I am married (for the 2nd time around) my first husband went home to be with the LORD 13 years ago. I have been married to my 2nd husband for two years now. We both are partners at International Family Church (IFC). I am so glad the LORD lead us there. I have learned so much about the Word, and the love everyone pours out to me WOW! I couldn't see myself ever leaving IFC. I have always known about God, but never had a relationship with him as I do now. I grew up in a Spanish Pentecostal Church. With lots of do's & don't and a lot of religiosity. But praise the LORD my mom always made me go, it was setting up the platform. Of course as I grew older I only went to be seen, then I was in the world for 12- 13 years. I thank God for his mercy & love and his patience. If it wouldn't be for Him I would not have been here now. I am also attending the Free Indeed Group. I have disordered eating. I either ate compulsively or binged, and I knew somehow it did not please God I did that. ( yes there are days that I struggle, but i get back on track. Coreena, the group leader is great and so honest and transparent. Attending the group and learning God's Word has helped me significantly. Let me not forget to tell you I have an 18 year old son. His name is Juan. I love him so much. He is so handsome. I pray to God everyday for him. I know that one day he will confess Jesus as Saviour and live his life for God. I live in Haverhill, MA and I work in Beverly, MA as a Reproductive Health Counselor and many other titles, but I will stick to this one. I love my job, I get to meet alot of people. I would like to encourage all of those who have disordered eating to not give up. God cares and understands, just take it one moment at a time, one day at a time. He is always there for us.
