| Hello from Seattle! Our family came to Osborne in the late 60s and it ended up being our home church for many years. We made alot of lasting friendships there and have memories that we'll cherish forever . . . youth group, summer and winter camps, trips to orphanages and special programs. The community is what people seem to remember the most, even after all of these years. Every time I come across people from that time, we all share a common fond rememberance. Pastor and Patty Stiles and their children (Kathy was my favorite Sunday School teacher), Larry and Pat Bassanett and their kids, Cal Leuning and all of the hard times we gave him (but he made it fun and he didn't quit), weddings, potlucks, the emphasis on family and leadership during our New Year's vigils, after church socials at Bob's Big Boy, all of the interesting and unique guest speakers that were given the opportunity to share and give us a broader persepective of what God was doing beyond our church, the choirs and musicals, softball games, an emphasis and openness to missions, etc. I am grateful for the long list of prayer warriors that were dedicated to the children growing up during that time and the difference they made through their commitment, the genuine friendships and the strength and compassion through community that is not often found in churches today.
I went to Salem, Oregon for a Discipleship Training School with YWAM and a School of Evangelism in Switzerland, spent a couple of months on the Anastasis ship in Greece. Spent my earlier years in the healthcare field and the latter years in hi-tech software and hardware sales for private and public companies including Intel, Corp. God gifted me with my perfect complement,
David, who was in the same field, working for EDS/Xerox. Our son Jordan is now 22 and has followed the YWAM path to do a DTS in Perth, Australia and now lives in a church house plant in the University district in Seattle, with a church birthed out of Antioch in TX. He is our biggest blessing. A few years ago we transitioned into ministry work with The Sentinel Group (www.sentinelgroup.org) where I work with my eldest brother, George who is President/Founder. I work in the areas of Partner Relations and Resource Distribution. In my free time, I write, cartoon, garden, plus love reading, designing, traveling and discovering! We moved from the San Fernando Valley to rural Seattle and love it. We were very happy to re-connect with some of the old "Osbornites" at our father's passing not long ago, he will be sorely missed. Our mother, Virginia, lives in Murrieta, CA.
