Greetings in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ! First of all, I want to thank Vickie & Al for inviting me to be a part of this cell in the Body of Christ. I am living in Talladega, Alabama and right now it will be some time before I can attend worship and fellowship in my fleshly body with everyone there at Hayden/ Corner Alabama. I do pray for Al & Vickie everyday and you all,even though I did not know any of your names.

I am a United Methodist Pastor of the North Alabama Conference,although at present I am not serving a Church due to some health issues. I am married to my wife, Gail, a teacher with Talladega County Board of Education and we will celebrate our 28th wedding anniversary on my 58th birthday on November 17,2007. We have a 24 year old daughter, Rebekah, who is an USAF veteran and she is attending school now to get her education and begin her career.

We started the ministry in June of 1980 and we have served in Clay County [ where we served three different Churches ] and then we moved to Ohatchee in Calhoun County where I finished school at Jacksonville State in 1985. I then began attending seminary at Emory University in Atlanta,Candler School of Theology.

We have served Churches in Eastaboga,Alabama [ where is only several miles from the Talladega Race Speedway. ]. we also have served Churches in Coosa and Tallapoosa Counties [ near and around Alexander City ] often with more than two Churches linked together. Our last two appontments where at Bemiston United Methodist Church in Talladega and finally I served Bethany -Hollins United Methodist Churches which are located just below Sylacauga, Alabama.

I had some diabetic health issues which forced me to take disability leave from the pastoral ministry. I belive in the baptism of the Holy Spirit, and the working of the Holy Spirit in and through the Body of Christ, I also belive in the saving & redeeming blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, also in the healing obtained by our Lord through His redeeming work in and on the cross. I believe in the most basic beliefs of believers in Christ, and also in the prophetic and apostolic work as well. I am conservative in theology and believe in the literal inspiration of thee Scriptures by the Holy Spirit. Now, all of this may seem basic to you all, but I was called into the United Methodist Ministry to serve the Lord Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior and to also see if the United Methodist Church could be guided back into the center of Christianty and John Wesley's teachings on salvation, holiness and sanctification and the work of the Holy Spirit. I am saddened to report that although here in the Bible belt most United Methodists do believe in these things many in other parts of our nation tend to follow liberal mainline traditonal beliefs.

My family and I [ along many others ] have fought many battles to see the Lordship of Christ honored and exalted in the United Methodist Church. As you may know, along with the Epsicopalians, Presbyterians,Lutherans and other old line Churches, this is not so. I do not want to come across as being judgemental and condeming towards anyone, but we have had enough. We feel that it is time for us to seek where else the Lord Jesus would have us serve Him in this world. I believe that the soon coming of Christ for the Church is about to take place [ when I don't know and care not set a date nor would I presume to understand when and how this will happen.

I just try to watch the signs of the times and to be aware that the Middle East and the world could soon be in turmoil in a moments notice which could engulf the entire world. I am thinking that the Body of Christ is being called to prepare intercessors to pray that the Body of Christ be ready to do the work of the Father in the name of His Son, the Lord Jesus, by the power of the Holy Spirit.

At this season of my life, I am so overwhelmed with the idea of how little I understand of the work of the Lord Jesus, and am thankful I can communicate with Al & Vickie and others who are getting ready to go to a wedding, where we will be invited to a feast. I don't deserve to be able to go and am not worthy by any means, but I am so thankful for the Lord Jesus for allowing me to attend,if I will heed His Word and trust in HIs grace. I do not have any answers to many of the questions of life and faith, and I am not sure I even know any of the questions of life,service in the Lord's Name, nor what it means to be a disciple of the Lord Jesus! All I know is that heaven is place where I want to be and I want all I know and all I don't know to be ready for His coming!!

Well, I have said too much already, and that's probably more information than you have ever wanted to know about a Methodist preacher!! May God continue to bless you all there in Hayden/Corner Alabama, and may the Lord Jesus continue to guide,heal,protect and keep you all in His name> May the Lord Jesus also do the same for Al & Vickie and their family as they serve the Lord and guide His People in that area of our State!!
