I was born and raised in Pittsburgh PA. At age 17, My family moved to Youngstown OH. I was raised catholic, and in my early 20's, I turned away from God and lived a life that I am not proud of. When I was 29, I moved to Las Vegas and my life spiraled out of control. I gambled and got drunk every chance I got. I finally had enough at age 34 and joined AA and GA. It was through the 12 steps that I found the Lord. In October of 2002, I was saved.
For the first few years after being saved, I attended Calvary Chapel, and occasionally, Canyon Ridge. They are fine churches, but I didn't feel a connection. I live only 1 mile from VBF, so I drove past there quite a bit. For whatever reason, I always felt drawn to it. I drive past churches all the time without giving them a 2nd look, but VBF always caught my eye. I finally decided to give it a try. I fell in love with VBF immediately and have been attending ever since.
I am divorced twice (not proud of it). I have been single since October 2005. I'm a member of the singles group in Vegas. Joining this group has been an unbelievable blessing. I have made several great friends and I consider them to be my 2nd family. I urge all singles to give this group a chance.
I recently rediscovered my love for kids. My newest passion is volunteering for Big Brothers and Big Sisters. I have a new "little brother". His name is Logan and he's 8 years old. It's a pleasure mentoring and spending time with him. God has truly blessed me!

hey there, i saw that your were a big brother with bbbs, and i just wanted to tell u that i was a little from the time i was 6 until i was 15 and my big was the biggest influnce over me, she was amazing and treated me like family, so when it gets hard and u are wondering if you are doing the right thing, know from me that you are, and even just spending time with him is going to make a huge diff. also i went to church with her all the time, and i know that if it wasnt for her and her family i would not be in church now, so if u can, make sure hes in church! thanx so much for giving your time! he will be a better person because of you!
