I love God and so love serving him. I was raised First Southern Baptist but always felt something was missing. I have attended a few churches over the years and for a few years did not attend at all. I had God in my heart but could not find my way to church. Shortly after Ty and I met in 2003 he took a trip on his Harley to Milwaukee for the 100 year anniversary. While he was away I had decided that I felt it time to go back to church not knowing that he had come to the same conclusion. When he got back we started going to a church in San Jose that he had attended before. I loved the church, still do and when we are in San Jose we make sure to attend. It was hard leaving the church when we moved to Las Vegas and it depressed me for quite awhile. We tried a couple of churches which were okay but I still felt something missing for me. Then we found VBF. Our first time there happened to be when they were asking for people to sign up to help at the Rescue Mission, as Ushers, in the pre-school, etc. WOW! Ty and I looked at each other and knew we had found our church. I feel most at home when at the Rescue Mission as this is something that has been on my heart for years. I feel I just can't do enough for the Lord there and have met some very wonderful people through this ministry. I don't know what else the Lord has in store for me but I know I am ready!
Interests
Ty and I had an Open House this month in hope of getting to know church members better and to allow them to do the same. I was a little hesitant due to our busy (mine actually) schedule but I have got to say it was the best idea Ty has ever passed by me. What a special day it was and what better way to get to know our friends in Christ. We are planning to open our home again in December and I can only hope that the Lord blesses us once again with such a great turn out. My life has been so enriched due to VBF. I love you guys and may God continue to bless us all.

The Bible would be # 1 of course. For couples I would recommend Devotions For Couples. Next year we will start Love and Respect for our couples daily reading which comes with a workbook and DVD. It has helped a great deal for Ty and I to read together and has brought us closer.
Television
CSI, The Singing Bee, Dancing with the Stars as we love to dance, Law & Order SVU, Criminal MInds, The CLoser, Cold Case, Saving Grace, My Name Is Earl, Rachel Ray and NCIS. TIVO is great but dangerous.
