Hi....My name is Shelia and I am a member of Abundant Life Christian Ministries, located in Walkertown, North Carolina. I have a wonderful pastor and co-pastor( John and Carolyn Mitchell), who teach the uncompromising word of God. I have great confidence in them and also consider them to be , not only my spiritual leaders, but my friends. It is so wonderful to be under godly people who really care for you not just in words, but in deed.
At ALCM, I serve as the church secretary and youth Sunday school teacher. My church is known, for its warmth, generosity and service to those in need. Many who fellowship with us say that there abides such a sweet spirit and some have even seen angels in our midst.
I am so grateful to God, for He has done GREAT things for me, and in me. He has taught me through the Holy Spirit, what my true identity is. From this time forth, I strive to put my identity in His hands and not in man's hands. I am a Princess ... for My Father is The King of kings and The Lord of lords. He is My God !!!
I am a preschool teacher, who loves the work that I do with children. I consider it a ministry, and pray that I am having a positive effect on the young children and families that I serve. I used to question God and say, " Why did you give me a heart so tender, for it can be so easily broken ? " But I believe that He did it because of the children.I see, daily, children whose self esteem is damaged and the results of those living in unhealthy environments. It is always a great blessing to be the one who can give an encouraging word and praise mixed with a warm hug." A hug delights and warms and charms.
