| Father God, may we be surrounded by the fire that filled the bush in the wilderness. A fire that purifies but does not consume. May this fire, your fire, fill us....our innermost being. May we exude this fire, your love, on a daily basis. We know that when we yield to this fire that the trials, fires, and troubles of the world will not harm us. We claim this promise. In Jesus name. Amen.

I occassionally watch the Catholic channel EWTN....I enjoy some of their programming and some of the regular speakers they have.
One of my favorite is Marcus Grodi who has a show called The Journey Home.
I was watching this morning and he did a sermon on the "Blessed are" passage....how this message of Christ reflects a progression of our growing in Christlikeness.......it was a real blessing. I think it said that it was part of some sort of Family Fellowship conference they were having. If you get a chance to watch it....I'd reccomend it.

Just saw this message from a lady I went to college with....this is a family friend of hers
"for our friends Warren and Tana today.
Warren (a Maranatha grad) has been fighting colon cancer since 2006, and it looks like he is headed Home to heaven, probably today. He has fought well, has learned much, and has been so gracious about God's working in his life -- a lesson to me and to many others.
Please pray for a peaceful homegoing for Warren, for strength for Tana, and comfort for their three small kids."
Let's pray for this family today.

Wow. Did I need this verse today. What great promises.
91:1 He who dwells in the shelter of the Most High, who abides in the shadow of the Almighty, 91:2 will say to the LORD, "My refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust."
