I have really enjoyed sharing pictures of the children at the orphanage. I'll try and post some here. Look under photos at the top of the page. I have been praying that the boys would always know the love of God through their caregivers- that indeed their concept of God's love would be rich because of the many ways it has been shown to them. In the name of Jesus I bind and cancel assignments of abandonment and rejection in thier lives. They shall adjust to changes in staff. And Cindy shall be able to release them to God as she leaves and starts a new job.

My mother's heart is excited about going to a baby shower in Tulsa next weekend in anticipation of our first grandchild, Drew. He is due to arrive May 2. It will be good to see Emma and Joel as they anticipate this event with family and friends. I will be staying with our oldest daughter Susan and will enjoy that woman to woman time with her. Pete should be around too to get a quick hug. So, watch out for Garry when you see him at SHS on March 9!

Amidst all the snow and ice that has hit this area, I have a hope of sunshine and warm weather! Garry and I intend to be in San Diego this weekend to see our daughter Cindy.  We haven't seen her since last May. SO I am very excited about it.  We will also spend time at the orphange where she currently works.  I am looking forward to seeing her six little boys. We will also meet her boy friend and his family.  I am believing for good flying weather.   We will miss being in service and seeing everyone.  If our hotel has internet, I may be able to get online and catch what is happening with you all.  That is a nice thought. Garry found a picture of me. He took it at Turkey Run State Park when we were celebrating our 30ith wedding anniversary in Nov. I am thankful for Garry's help in computer technology.  I'm learning more and more.

Today, Tuesday was an interesting day at work/school. We started with a two hour delay. Then I worked for four hours and they released the students early because of the snow.  It took me two hours to get home from Scottsburg. God blessed me by teaming up with Garry in North Vernon so that I could follow him for the last hour.  Isn't that like God? Anyway we are home, warm and have food. I will miss prayer tonight (which was cancelled by Vern) but if you have requests go to the prayer group on "my church" and post them.  God bless!  

Well, here goes the first blog on this site. I enjoy blogging with our grown children who live out-of-state. Even though we talk on the cell phones, there is something I usually want to share that I forget to say. For those of you we don't know them, we have three daughters and one son. One daughter Emma is married and expecting a baby ( Drew) May 2. She and her husband Joel are excited. I am excited about being a grandmother for the first time. An other daughter Susan lives in the Tulsa area and works at a church. Pete is out there also and just started a job as a special education assistant for a first grade boy. The third daughter, Cindy, is working at an orphanage in Mexico close to San Diego. She is a house mother for six little boys 2-7 years old. She rarely blogs but calls on weekends.

You may wonder why Garry and I have separate sites. Why did we drive separate cars to church on Friday nights? Simple. We work in different locations and access the computer at different times and different places. For a year now I have been working in Scottsburg 4 days a week and 1 day a week in Switzerland County. I used to come to church straight from work- tonight breaks that habit. ..I go school to school as an occupational therapist helping teachers work with special education students who have coordination problems. I love the kids and teachers. God opened it up for me. I like seeing what God is doing in peoples' lives and how He works things around for good.

I  am thankful for this means of getting to know the church family better.  Someone at worked said "You have friends everywhere".  I replied "they are my church family, we are close."  I am blessed daily by you all. Catch you later!
