Hello, I am "Bro. James" (as everyone calls me) Thompson. It has been said that God only made a few perfect heads and the rest he covered with hair. I'm the one with the perfect head. The beautiful girl in the picture with me is my wonderful wife, companion, and help meet of almost 28 years now. We have two daughters, Stephanie 26 - married to Dr. Jason Payne, and Danielle 20 finishing her last year of class to be a dental assistant, with plans to marry in August 2008 to Brian Sullivan. We had other plans in life, but God chose us for a better one, that of pastoring and church building. It is bigger than us, but we have God as provider and sustainer of our lives and work. We are priviledged and honored to be called of God. The guy on stage at a previous church is Cliff Daniel at his debut of special singing. Man, what an inspiration he is. What a work of Grace God has performed in his life. He is a member of our recently begun work as well. We have, as recent as September 16, 2007, started this new work with 6 members. Yesterday (November 18, 2007), we had 22 in attendance and a potential of 30. So, it goes without saying, we have outgrown the livingroom. We have broken out every chair in the house, filled up the couch and love seat, and the recliner, and with standing room only filling up, we need a place to worship. With some limits to our finances, due to God's providential handling, we are open to any suggestions anyone in our area might have. If you know of someone who might be willing to donate some land or the temporary use of a building as we grow, please let us know. We are none affiliated with any modern denomination. We are just His Church. We will not waste valuable time arguing over denominational welfare, which more often than not, become allowances and/or excuses for many pet sins, and the reason many just don't care the banner of Jesus high and lifted up. We preach "responsibility and accountability" of saint and sinner. Freedom is not loosed from one bondage to be bound by another, but free to love or hate, free to live for Jesus or not. However decisions have consequences. We believe that God gives us His Word, which is absolute Truth, gives us the ability to choose, where before we could not. But, like in the day of the first Adam, the first prodical son, our Father stands ready to receive us back upon our repentance/return, but will leave us to ourselves to make the choice. We don't loose anything, but many forfiet it all. He gives us the ability, but we must do the choosing. Believing is not a mental agreement, but a life llived out in trust. |
