I first came to VBF when I heard that Brian Welch was saved and going to be speaking there in Las Vegas. A few weeks after that my friend Slushie told me about the college group, so I went with him and eventually started going all the time. I love to write and am working on compiling some of my writings into a book along with some illustrations. I use my poetry for my music project Clerval's Confession. I'm going to school and probably wasting my dad's money, because I have heard my calling and I don't know if college will assist it or not. I run an annual Christian music festival called Faith Fest in a town south of Las Vegas where I grew up called Boulder City. Faith Fest has had two successful years in a row and will continue as long as I have the resources to make it happen. But even if it ceases my ministry will not.
"When I came to you, brothers, I did not come with eloquence or superior wisdom as I proclaimed to you the testimony about God. For I resolved to know nothing while I was with you except Jesus Christ and him crucified. I came to you in weakness and fear, and with much trembling. My message and my preaching were not with wise and persuasive words, but with a demonstration of the Spirit's power, so that your faith might not rest on men's wisdom, but on God's power."
