About Me

I moved from Porterville to Bakersfield in 2003. It was at this time that I met my husband and he introduced me to VBF. I have made VBF my home since that time and I LOVE this Church! Despite the large size of the congregation (which was very intimidating since I came from a very small conservative Southern Baptist Church) I have made numerous close friends whom I consider family. I am a wife, mother, grandmother and I work as a Realtor while still going to school to obtain my BS in Business Admin. and should graduate this year. I have 3 daughters ages 8, 11, & 21 and one grandaugher age 20 months. I subscribed to this site to make more Church family connections and look forward to being a part of this online community.

I am also on this site to encourage and to be encouraged by my brothers and sisters in Christ. We have enough negativity in the world and this site is a refuge where we can lean on each other and speak with those who understand what type of life we hope to live.

I love Motown Oldies and numerous other types of music. My favorite band at the moment is Casting Crowns! I am so mad I missed them when they were in town!

Well...I have my 2 year old grandaughter so it is mostly Disney Channel for us-ha! I find myself watching Hannah Montana, The Suite Life of Zach and Coty and the Wiggles ALOT!

Hey Mary! It was so nice meeting you. I don't know how the other application came out, but my husband and I really like the house and want to try getting in there before any where else. We'll drop off the application as SOON as we can! Hopefully tonight or tomorrow. If you're not available, I think your address was on the application packet, so if it's ok we could just drop it in an envelope and put it in your mail-box. Let me know what's best for you, or if that other application came through for you. God bless you and we'll be seeing you around (hopefully!). A lot of our friends go to second service so maybe we might just have to start coming too! Take care!
