In three days Jesus will return from the grip of death. Does death have any grip in your life? Did you know you have victory through the blood of Jesus...walking in that victory even when you don't see a way is the first step to achieving that victory. How do you do that...you pray and ask God through each moment and each step...when your a child of the King you will hear His still small voice..that gentle prompting in your heart...a strong and powerful yet peaceful sense always leading you towards the truth in the Bible. Some say, the voice of God is like a ocean tide coming in and then it gently washes across your life and is as refreshing as the first time your toes squished the wet sand. Doors have been swung open in my life. God is always loving and faithful! He will never leave you nor forsake you! His resurrection power is available for your freedom for the asking...just ask Him!

I woke up today singing that song, Victory in Jesus! Fireworks went off in my head and heart as the verses about God opening his warehouse of blessings on me rolled through my mind. With every battle, their are days when we want to stop and sit under the shaded oak tree. Many days, we look at our uniform of armour hanging on the wall and dread putting it on. Then as the battle continues, we begin sleeping in our uniform for the assaults happen from the enemy before we get out of bed. Many of us have shared lately that our armour is now too heavy for life has us bent to our knees. Struggling daily; God just waits for us to stop struggling and to look up into His eyes. He knows you are a weary soldier. Maybe their is a reason for it carnally...even spiritually. Just as we watch fireworks going off in the sky tonight, God has a mighty, vibrant plan for your life and it includes the warehouse busting forth at His command with a love and blessing beyond belief. So just enjoy the hot-dogs and the children running around. Let the grass glide across your tender feet and send shivers up your back. Go ahead and have that dip of ice cream...for Independence Day is here!

My heart is heavy

How do you put on your armour when its too heavy, for life has you too weak. One day things are running smoothe, the next every area of my life is attacked. It cycles back to one moment things are getting better and I am grasping onto my blessings which now God sent someone beside me to hold up my arms as I finish this race. She reminds me of my blessings for I am too mentally weary to remember them as I am just some days it seems...."trying to survive". I am excited about our future and I cling to the cross right now for oxygen. I have surrendered everything I know....just we are in such a waste land of life that it seems no one else understands.....the valley of death....my cousin this weekend called it "no man's land". He came the closest and a very special friend of mine are the only two that seem to get it and still they can't help us....it is a land that only God can enter. For He will send you a comforter...the Holy Spirit. Father, come and comfort me as I crawl through this land for standing is not an option, crawling is a chore right now. I know you love me and you are forever with me....deliver us from this Father...right now in Jesus name. Restore what the locust have eaten. You said you hear my cries...and you answer me...help us Father, enough is enough....I will continue this walk with you for I know their is no other option, but I need your comfort and care. My daughter doesn't even know what has been going on...I have to be a strength and be "normal" for her, she deserves a great mommy and she will get that. I love you.

John 14:15-26 ASV *Love* Real love brings security into our lives. For many of us, feelings of insecurity contribute to the power of our dependency. Believing that love can bring lasting security may be hard for those of us who have been abandoned. Maybe someone we loved betrayed our trust. Perhaps someone turned away from us when we betrayed theirs. It could be that someone we needed died, leaving us permanently. Jesus promised, "No, I will not abandon you as orphans-I will come to you" (John 14:18). We may ask, How can I trust God's love when it feels like all I've ever known is love that disappoints? Here's the difference: Jesus is the only one who entered our life through the "one way" door of death. "God showed how much he loved us by sending his only Son into the world so that we might have eternal life through him. This is real love. It is not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as a sacrifice to take away our sins" (1 John 4:9-10). The Psalmist wrote, "For he understands how weak we are; he knows we are only dust....The wind blows, and we are gone...But the love of the Lord remains forever with those who fear him" (Psalm 103:14-18). God's love is unconditional and always waiting for us. Turning our life over to God involves opening the door of our heart to his love. Filling up on God's love helps us to avoid relapses. It meets us at our deepest need and overcomes our most powerful insecurities.
