My name is Michael Dirrim, though during my college years everyone knew me as Horshack (cf. "Welcome Back Kotter"). I am the pastoral intern at Southwoods Baptist Church and a seminary student at Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary. I am married to Becca Dirrim and have a 4-month old boy, Benjamin Hesed.
My favorite thing in the whole world to do is to study Scripture in a way that makes it come alive to those I teach, preach, and have conversations with. I also love to read (recent picks: "Jesus' Blood and Righteousness: Paul's Theology of Imputation" by Brian Vickers, "Evangelism in the Early Church" by Michael Green, and "Christianity at the Crossroads" by J. A. Shepard.)
Interests
If my life consists of but a single note in God's composition of existance, I desire to play that note so clear and beautiful that all who hear it will praise and love the Composer. Glory to the Composer, and not the note.
Books
I have read them, or I am reading them. I also reccomend them. I've tried to place them in order of how I have read them.
Television
I am thoroughly loving a family commitment to leave the TV off for 30 days. We have so much more time for each other and for spiritual communion.
