I know it's been a while but, I still love all y'all. I hain't been able to take the time to write blogs but I still been lurkin in the background keepin tabs on everybody. God's really been movin out here that's for sure. Well, I just wanted to share somethin that happened to me last week that kinda goes along with some of the thangs that's been goin on here on Mychurch. It all started when we had a new fella move into the trailor park. He actually moved into Juan's old trailor. The man's name was Enis and his cousin's name was Earl. They had just come down from California over here to North Carolina. I don't even think you you can get to California from here so they must've flew in on a helicoptor or somethin. Well, Me and Rich seen them tryin to move thier couch in. So we decided to do the redneck thang and offer em a hand. They was real skinny boys... looked like a fart wouldn've blown em away. So they was real excited when we offered to help... jumpin up and clappin. Well, when me and Rich got the couch inside we seen that they had some real odd pictures. It looked like Enis and Earl had got some glamor shots or somethin at the local wal-mart. I didn't think much of it at first but then I noticed that in one of the pictures they was holdin hands. Rich gave me "the look" and we knowed that we needed to get out of that trailor quick-like. I looked at Enis and said, "Well, we're gonna mosey on back home now, good luck with the rest of the stuff." Enis looked back at me and said, "Do you boys live in the same trailor?" Like the instinctual croakin of bullfrogs in a lake Rich and me both said, "NOOOOOOO" in perfect unison It was a real awkward moment. Me and Rich just stood there lookin at them boys.. knowin that we was standin in the midst of a homosexual couple. We didn't really know what to say. Finally, Rich spoke up and said. "Guys just so ya'll know we ain't gay, we like women"... :"But we still hope y'all will get thangs right and come to our church" I was shocked at Rich's boldness. I felt God speakin to me to say somethin too. So I swallowed my pride and spoke up... "That's right guys, Jesus love's y'all and he can deliver y'all from bein gay" Them boys looked like they'd seen a ghost. They didn't know what to say. Actually they looked a little scared. "You guys aren't going to beat us up are you?' "No", I said, "We just want to make you feel welcome, and let you know that while we don't like y'all bein gay, we still have the same respect for y'all as anybody else" Enis looked at me and said, "Wow, that's the nicest thing anyone's ever said to us" Me and Rich both said, "We'll be prayin for y'all" and we hurried back to our trailors without sayin a word to each other... cause we didn't want to look gay or nothin. When I got back home, I ran to the bathroom and was washin my hands, when God spoke to me and said "Thank you" "Thank me for what?" I asked God said, "Thank you for reflecting my love today" "Well, it was tough situation, but I did the best I could" I said God said, "BillyRay, I love your new neighbors just as much as love you, inspite of thier sin, and I have the power to deliver them. I just need someone to show them my love." I dried my hands and I realized that them boys was no different than me before I found Jesus. I was doin all kinds of mess that the Bible plainly catagorized as sin, and yet somebody came along and told me that Jesus loved me. I gave my heart to Him, and He delivered me. I just felt like I needed to share this story with y'all because their may be people in your life that you feel like have gone too far to be reached by God's love. Well, let me tell you that ain't true, that's a lie from Satan to make you keep your mouth shut. God's love can reach down to the lowest of sinner and pick them up, set em on the right path, and save their soul. Don't give up on noboday regardless of how sinfull they might be. God loves them just the same as you. God bless, let the Lord speak to you.
