I've added the aforementioned event to the MyChurch church calendar. However, I advise you to go to the church's calendar at http://www.soth.org/calendar.htm to see ALL of the events that are going on at the church.

Every Maundy Thursday, Shepherd of the HIlls Lutheran Church performs a semi re-enactment of DaVinci's Last Supper painting, with Jesus (played by one of the pastors) at the center of the table, and the twelve apostles seated on his right and left.
(One tangential comment: the director has chosen to seat all twelve apostles at the table, including Judas Iscariot, primarily because the people who participate are not just actors, but also church members and communicants.)
Anyway, I have participated in this a couple of times over the last few years, but haven't done it in the last couple of years. Well, I'm participating again, and we're beginning to rehearse for Maundy Thursday.
If you are in the Rancho Cucamonga area and if your church is not holding its own Maundy Thursday service, you may want to stop by and see ours. The Last Supper re-creation will take place at the 5, 6:30, and 8pm services on Maundy Thursday.

Note that it's best to go to the Shepherd of the Hills website, http://www.soth.org/ , for the latest information. However, this information is accurate as of September 2006. Sunday -- 7:45 a.m. -- Traditional Worship Communion on the first Sunday of the month. Sunday -- 9:00 a.m. -- Blended Worship Communion on the second Sunday of the month. Sunday -- 10:15 a.m. -- Blended Worship Communion on the third Sunday of the month. Sunday -- 11:30 a.m. -- Contemporary Worship Communion on the fourth Sunday of the month. Communion is scheduled beginning with the first service on the first Sunday of the month. Second Sunday is the second service time and so on. If a month has five Sundays then Communion will be celebrated at all weekend services.
It should also be noted that there are two chapels, and that both chapels have services at the 9:00 and 10:15 service times.
