About
About the Church
Osborne Neighborhood Church is a Full-Gospel, Non-Denominational, family oriented, Christian Church located in Arleta, California, in the heart of the San Fernando Valley.  The heart of our ministry is fueled by the love of the people for the Lord and for each other.  The expression of that love is seen in our zeal to care for others in our mission's outreach and through the music ministry of the church.  We encourage believers to experience the fullness of the Holy Spirit, to study God's Word, and then as an expression of their faith, to find an area of ministry where they can demonstrate their devotion to the Lord.

Church History

Osborne Neighborhood Church was established in July 1952 by Founding Pastor, J. E. Stiles, Jr. and his wife, Pattie. Pastor Stan Taylor and his wife, Daisy, joined this ministry in 1988 when he was added to the pastoral staff.  Upon Pastor Stiles' retirement from full-time ministry in 1990, Pastor Stan Taylor was appointed Senior Pastor.  Pastor Stiles, who was well known for saying, "It pays to serve Jesus," continued to serve the church in ministry until his death in December 2002.  It was his vision that Osborne Neighborhood Church would be a church dedicated to missions, so many would hear about and come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.  The legacy of that vision today is reaching into almost every continent. Pattie Stiles continued to serve in the music ministry which she founded in 1954 until October 2006. She now resides in Washington State near her son-in-law & daughter, Mike & Kathie Rice.

Osborne was my home for 10 years, I can hardly believe it was 10 years ago the Valley Vineyard became my home, my how time flies. I miss very much being called teacher Lori, all my kids from when I was CE director are mostly grown up. It is so much fun to see them as young adults. I've just seen Collin, Nathaniel and Allie Beth Oberg. They have certainly changed from when I last saw Mary. I'd love to see pictures of all of my kids and find out if they still remember me, as being their director was most possibly the most important and cherished accomplishment I have ever had. Blessings to all, Lori

My heart is with the body at Osborne Neighborhood Church although my life has taken me outside of the area. Pastor Stiles teaching of the word of God and the values I was taught by the wonderful people who were a vital part of my life as a child, have made me who I am today. I will always be a part of the body of Osborne Neighborhood Church.

I love MY HOME CHURCH that I have been a part of for over 35 years. It is so fun to see everyone online and I'm happy to finally have the time to check it out. I love you guys...even though we're down here in South America, I still think of you all.

I've been a part of ONC since I was a baby...dedicated by Pastor Stiles...and sent out by them as missionaries. I LOVE MY CHURCH family and miss them all dearly. Our missionary work has taken us away to many different countries but I love to go HOME to my church! I LOVE YOU GUYS AND MISS YOU!

Thank you to ALL who were praying for us in Agua Dulce and Santa Clarita.  We are very grateful to Our Father for His faithfulness to His children.  As I continue to clean up the dust and soot from the winds and the fire, I am thankful I have a house to clean or trying to make sense out of the loads of things we have brought back into the house from the car.  We have a house, as many people do not and I can only imagine what it must feel like to come back to NOTHING.  God is sooooo good.  The children were very calm as we packed up and left on Sunday, going to my son Alan's house in Plum Cyn....Cleaning is a joy today!  Love to ALL Grant and Lois
