About the Church
Osborne Neighborhood Church is a Full-Gospel, Non-Denominational, family oriented, Christian Church located in Arleta, California, in the heart of the San Fernando Valley.  The heart of our ministry is fueled by the love of the people for the Lord and for each other.  The expression of that love is seen in our zeal to care for others in our mission's outreach and through the music ministry of the church.  We encourage believers to experience the fullness of the Holy Spirit, to study God's Word, and then as an expression of their faith, to find an area of ministry where they can demonstrate their devotion to the Lord.

Church History

Osborne Neighborhood Church was established in July 1952 by Founding Pastor, J. E. Stiles, Jr. and his wife, Pattie. Pastor Stiles, well known for saying, "It pays to serve Jesus," retired from full-time ministry in 1990, but continued to serve the church in ministry until his death in December 2002.  It was his vision that Osborne Neighborhood Church would be a church dedicated to missions, so many would hear about and come to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.  The legacy of that vision today is reaching into almost every continent.

Pattie Stiles continued to serve in the music ministry which she founded in 1954 until October 2006. She now resides in Washington State near her son-in-law & daughter, Mike & Kathie Rice.

Pastor Stan Taylor was added to the pastoral staff in 1988 and was appointed to the position of Senior Pastor in 1991.  He and his wife, Daisy, faithfully served the Osborne Neighborhood Church body until March 2009.

Pastor Larry Basnett, who served on the Osborne Neighborhood Church pastoral staff during the 1970's and 1980's, returned to Osborne with his wife, Pat, in March 2008 in the position of Associate Pastor.  Upon Pastor Stan's departure, Pastor Larry Basnett accepted the position of Senior Pastor of Osborne Neighborhood Church.

I am currently staying in Belgium and the church-scène isn't very great here. So my friends told me about this site and this church seemed to be a Gods send in this hard time for me. I hope now I can talk and be witk God online from across the ocean.

Osborne was my home for 10 years, I can hardly believe it was 10 years ago the Valley Vineyard became my home, my how time flies. I miss very much being called teacher Lori, all my kids from when I was CE director are mostly grown up. It is so much fun to see them as young adults. I've just seen Collin, Nathaniel and Allie Beth Oberg. They have certainly changed from when I last saw Mary. I'd love to see pictures of all of my kids and find out if they still remember me, as being their director was most possibly the most important and cherished accomplishment I have ever had. Blessings to all, Lori

My heart is with the body at Osborne Neighborhood Church although my life has taken me outside of the area. Pastor Stiles teaching of the word of God and the values I was taught by the wonderful people who were a vital part of my life as a child, have made me who I am today. I will always be a part of the body of Osborne Neighborhood Church.

I've been a part of ONC since I was a baby...dedicated by Pastor Stiles...and sent out by them as missionaries. I LOVE MY CHURCH family and miss them all dearly. Our missionary work has taken us away to many different countries but I love to go HOME to my church! I LOVE YOU GUYS AND MISS YOU!
