my name is Amber. I'm a messianic jew. I work for Mercie's Day Program. I help shape and coordinate the lives of mentally disabled adults. I keep to myself most the time. i'm a private person. I started Valley about 2 years ago, after i was saved at a Barlow Girl Concert. it just felt right to ask God into my heart. I used to attend a Messianic Synagoge in Valencia on Saturdays and Valley on Sundays. I decided to become a messianic jew, when we did a study on Yeshua Ha Messiah. (Jesus our messiah) Our rabbi Stan was one of the most holy men , i have ever known. He helped me to understand the jewish culture to better understand Yeshua. The birth of our savior was not in December, it was October. the day of tabernacles, what the jews call Sukkot. In December there was snow in jerusalem, and the sheep would be places inside to protect them from the cold. The bible says the shepards seen the star. why would they be out in the fields if the sheep were inside? Mary got pregnant on Hannukka. Women basically carry for 40 weeks. that would be October. This is what i got from my study. When Yeshua said, I have come to fulfill, he did not mean to abolish, but to make the truth be known. Yes, there are some things we no longer do, from the old testament, but this does not mean it's ok, to cast it aside and forget. the renewed testament, is just that, the same guidelines and promises, but renewed so that we can have a better understanding of the old testament. The sacrifice system no longer exists. Yeshua (Jesus) was the ultimate sacrifice. Before the temple was destroyed they used to have a scape goat, for Rash Hashanna. they would tie a red string on the goats horns, this represented the sins that were to be cast away. they would send out the goat and when it died the string would turn white as snow...but after Yeshua died, it never turned white again. Only he can take our sins and make us white as snow! Our Rabbi died, this year January first. Since then the synagoge was just a sad place full of memories of the great man. So i only attend Valley and occasionally my Family gets together on Saturdays and we study our jewish roots. My best friend Connie and i attend Valley together. We became best friends through our love for Yeshua (Jesus). we help keep eachother out of trouble and build a strong relationship with the Lord. Even though, she's christian and i'm a messianic jew, our love for Yeshua (Jesus) is the same. i know most the people that read this may be offended. i know cause i questioned and studied myself. one night before i fell asleep i asked God to lead me to the path he would like me to follow, i woke up and i could hear talking and singing in Hebrew. This path in Yeshua's foot steps and traditions is the best thing that has ever happened to me. So feel free to ask me anything about my beliefs.
