About Me

Elder Fitz barclay, Jr., Pastor

Fitz Barclay Jr. was born to humble, God-fearing parents, the late Bishop F. Barclay and Sister Geraldine. Because of his parents training, he heard and knew the call of the Lord upon his life.

After getting his education and arming himself for service, Pastor Barclay became a helper of others. He came to Morgan Park durig the year 1978 to help the ageing pastor, Bishop R.W. Sunday. He was a very valuable person tot he church. Elder Barclay didn't mind getting his hands soiled. He was there for the Lord, helping the Pastor and any member of the congregation that needed him. Elder Barclay has always made himself very approachable to the congregation. You can come to him almost anytime. He is a man that enjoys good clean fun and a hearty laugh.

All of the years he has been at Morgan Park Pentecostal Church (MPPC) were not easy. Pastor has served the Lord at MPPC for a totalof 28 years, 6 years assisting and 22 years as Pastor. There have been good times and plenty of hard times but Elder Barclay would be the first to say that the "good times have outweighed the bad times."

Pastor Barclay has spent much of his time as pastor wearing at least three hats, that of a pastor, teacher and a missionary. He has a vision of missions, both foreign and home. One of the Pastor's latest tools of evangelism at home is the "Adopt a Block" program.

The congregation at MPPC, love and honour their Pastor, Elder Fitz Barclay Jr.

13:7 Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute [is due]; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour.
