Hey everyone, just wanted to let those who were interested know that we are praying and planning for a Youth Rally at the local High School in April 2008, actually April 25th, 2008! We're entitling the event Youth Explosion '08! Just asking for everyone to be in prayer about this for us, as this is possibly one of the biggest outreaches we have done as a church; we're really desiring the Holy Spirit to do some great works in the hearts, minds and lives of people at the rally. We're not promoting any one denomination, just Christ; believing John 12:32, "And I [Jesus], if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me..." May the Lamb who was slain receive the reward of His suffering! If you would like to keep updated with the events of the rally, you can check it out at

Again, please keep us in your prayers that God would save as well as provide. I'm confident in no one but Christ; praise His name!

Hello everyone....This is my first BLOG! I've been a member of MyChurch for some time now, via PastorDATM, and have enjoyed the times I've been logged on. I've seen some great blogs: comical ones, serious ones, thoughtful ones and... ones that lead to debates; which is sometimes comical as well. (Not that people getting in the flesh is a joking matter, but the topics on which we choose to get in the flesh are, rather...comical)
PastorDATM has been almost "pleading" with me to write any type of blog...so this is it! I'm not much of a blogger; I just love Jesus, as does everyone else, and want to see Him glorified upon this earth through my life. May the life of Jesus Christ be the shining light to the world (John 1:4)
I GUESS MY THOUGHTS ARE ON WITNESSING. We are to be the light of the world, the salt of the earth. I know many times, in my past, I'd believed that it was my words that brought people to Christ; if I said the correct thing at the correct time, then the Holy Spirit would move upon the individual and they would come to know Christ. (It was a little more in-depth than that, but not a lot of time) Over time, though, the Lord began to speak to me from John 1:4 1:4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men. The Lord began to encourage me to simply rest in Him, know that as I seek Him, He's changing me into His image...
3:18 But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, [even] as by the Spirit of the Lord.
And His image will produce His life in me, and it will be His life, not my words, my personality, not even my character, but the supernatural life of God in me that will be the witness(light)...I think of Brother Wesley who said "Preach Christ at all times, and when necessary...use words"
