PLRBC is a wonderful church family who shine Jesus to each other and into our community. We are ethnically diverse and very supportive of people from all walks of life, as we lead each other to follow God's plan for our lives revealed in His Word.
What we believe
We believe, out of His unconditional love for us, God has initiated a relationship with us through His Son Jesus Christ. We express this relationship through baptism, the Lord's Supper, worship, fellowship, ministry and Bible study. We believe that God gave us the Bible to reveal who He is. The Bible is worthy of our study and contains God-given instructions to enable us to have fulfilled lives and to live the life God planned for us.
We also believe that we all have equal access to God and an equal say in the church. We believe the church is a gathering of persons who want to grow in their relationship with God and to assist and be assisted by others.
Our church is an autonomous fellowship. We choose to cooperate with over 42,000 other Southern Baptist churches in all USA states, territories, and Canada to support over 10,000 missionaries around the world. Our Cooperative Program also provides for other ministries in all 50 states, in over 130 countries, and at six seminaries in the USA.
Our Purpose Statement
Intentionally telling people about Jesus and inviting them to become members of His family, encouraging each other in our spiritual progress, so that together we may effectively minister locally and worldwide, glorifying God's holy name.
