For those of you familiar with Disney World, they play this Swahili song on their Safari ride in Animal Kingdom. I have always liked the song and have been on a mission ever since to find it (and I am talking years!!!). I never knew what it meant. I finally found it online, looked a little more into it and it turns out it is the Swahili version of The Lord's Prayer. I have also posted the words below. The song is called "Hapa Duniani"

I received a message today thanking me for things at church and one thing that hit me was that people always thank me for all the hard work that I have put into something, or even for the little things that take no effort at all. What I realized is that we never really thank those that come out and support our church. I wanted to take the time to say thank you for all of those that are always there to help and support the different events at PUMC. Those that came to Godspell, those that come to Labyrinth, those that just thank those at PUMC that put forth effort at our church to try and make it a better place to be. So, thank you!!!

I also wanted to say that apparently my post regarding my issues with PUMC has struck a few people. If anyone wishes to discuss with me, please come see me. One thing Pastor Coryn and I had a discussion about was the "corner gossip" that goes on in not just our church but almost every church. I would hope we can all be Christian adults and learn to work together and discuss things as adults. If anyone has anything to discuss about me, please come to me directly. Matthew, Sue Price, Sabrina, or anyone else does not speak for me. I continue to hear that people are being cornered about my post and other things about me but have yet to find out by who. My "door" is always open, but be forewarned that due to circumstances that keep coming to light I will have no discussion without someone else present. I want no miscommunication as to what is said. I appreciate everyone's understanding of this. I am not saying this to be mean or spiteful or childish. I am protecting myself and the rumor mill.

I wanted to welcome Pastor Coryn. I only met her just yesterday as I have been away for a few weeks with vacation and back pain issues. I wanted to say I look forward to working with you. I will miss Jim but they say things happen for a reason and hopefully you are the reason we are looking for. I am really excited to see what the future brings and if there is anything I can do to help, please do not hesitate to ask!!
