| I have been married ten years to my high school sweetheart (Eric Sr.) and we have two beautiful children: Erica (20 mos) and Eric Jr.(4 mos). I have one sister, five sister-n-laws, three brother-n-laws, two best friends (Ladell and Lakeshia), ten nieces, four nephews, and one great-nephew. I am an ordained minister in the CME church. I experienced conversion when I was eight. Jesus entered my heart the second I accepted him as my lord and savior. My salvation was and still is grounded in knowing that I belong to Jesus and we are in relationship: he is my LORD and I am his child. I have the gift of abundant life with Jesus as my guide and comforter, because I am saved. I am called to pastor. Jesus has given me a pastor’s heart and a pastor’s vision. I am uncertain about how this call will be fleshed out; yet I am confident that God’s grace is sufficient and he will enable me to live out this call. I believe I will be a better pastor because I now have a more developed theology of grace. Working as a hospital chaplain and serving as an ordained minister in the CME church has shown me what it means to accept God’s grace and wisdom. When I do not know what to say to comfort people, and when I cannot I give them anything to alleviate their pain, Jesus patiently reminds me that I am not a psychologist or a doctor, I am a minister. It is my task to represent Christ to the people, not heal their physical and mental pains. I am a Christian minister called to live my life in service to God. I love the Lord Jesus Christ. I am only alive because Jesus keeps me and will not let me go. Jesus loves me continuously and I am grateful. I accept and boldly try to live in this world, which Jesus has called me to minister in. It is not my task to convince anyone of the universality of Christ. As a minister, it is my task and my goal to witness with my life and my soul that Jesus is the reality that is both blessing and promise for this world of sin. My calling is a prickling in my heart, a compulsion of my soul, a burning in my bones, and an abiding joy, which I am obligated to live out that I might glorify Christ Jesus. | | Interests I love to delve into the word of God. My greatest joy is when I find a scripture that uniquely speaks to me. I love being a mom. I thank God every day for blessing me with my children. It is a priviledge to mother my kids and to watch them grow and learn. This is also an exciting time for me in minstry as I daily see the hand of the Lord guiding every move that I make. | | Movies Independence Day
