Friends, Romans, MyChurchers... Lend me your EYES.
Your virtual eyes.
Surf this 'Urban Projects Day' wiki-page and give us your thoughts/ideas... perhaps especially your ideas about the 'Embedded Reporters' concept -- leveraging the hard work of many urban ministries by helping them get the word out on the internet. In fact, even though you aren't fortunate to live here (**wink**), we deputize you for the day if you'll help us spread communications that day (Tues 7/24). Any virtual volunteers, leave a comment. Blessings.
Btw, we're hoping to document this experiment for use later in our new 'New Media for Urban Change' course this Fall. So help us prove the value of social-networking beyond just building a list of (shallow) 'friends'.
Let's demonstrate our friends-list's ability to help change the world.
Y'gotta admit... This is pretty edgy. And much as I like the idea, I think I like the engaging spirit of a pastor who would agree to do that... at least once. **smile**
Thot: Interactive learning beats one-way microphone lectures any day.
Kathy & friends... I'm totally with ya. I've tried many of those Bible-reading methods too. But don't give up just yet... Take heart... Try the 'iBible'....
And just in case it ISN'T the panacea of Bible-reading solutions after all, let's go back to Kathy's blog & all of YOUR comments and continue the discussion...
At The ROCC... this is too close to reality to laugh. LOLLLL
[Seriously, TheROCC is currently cut off from the rest of the world, via cars. Only parachutists, astronauts and that human-cannonball-guy-at-the-circus can attend... at least til the city finishes putting in a beautiful roundabout at our corner. It'll be worth it though, I'm sure.]
Loved the Saddleback video though -- Innovative approach to using video-clips and YouTube... to expediate 'church'.
Any of you commenters out there who know of other innovative YouTube clips for the church... weigh-in below with the links to those videos.
