Luke 18:18-30 18A certain ruler asked him, "Good teacher, what must I do to inherit eternal life?" 19"Why do you call me good?" Jesus answered. "No one is good—except God alone. 20You know the commandments: 'Do not commit adultery, do not murder, do not steal, do not give false testimony, honor your father and mother.'[a]" 21"All these I have kept since I was a boy," he said. 22When Jesus heard this, he said to him, "You still lack one thing. Sell everything you have and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven. Then come, follow me." 23When he heard this, he became very sad, because he was a man of great wealth. 24Jesus looked at him and said, "How hard it is for the rich to enter the kingdom of God! 25Indeed, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God." 26Those who heard this asked, "Who then can be saved?" 27Jesus replied, "What is impossible with men is possible with God." 28Peter said to him, "We have left all we had to follow you!" 29"I tell you the truth," Jesus said to them, "no one who has left home or wife or brothers or parents or children for the sake of the kingdom of God 30will fail to receive many times as much in this age and, in the age to come, eternal life." In reading this passage, what do you think Jesus meant with the 27th verse? Here it is in plain old English. We can do everything we can think to do in the life with the law, and still fall short on going to heaven and having eternal life. But “What is impossible with men is possible with God.” Jesus changed everything, and he is the only way to heaven we must give up everything else and follow Him. We must give up our time, our money, even our lives to Him in order to have eternal life. For what we leave here for the kingdom the reward is greater. Let me here your commits about this scripture.

Jesus turned and saw her. "Take heart, daughter," he said, "your faith has healed you." And the woman was healed from that moment. Matthew 9:22
The power of Jesus can heal..... That is so amazing. It only takes one touch, and Jesus can heal. No matter what the problem is /jesus is the way. He is the way, the truth, and the life. He cares for us so much that he was willing to die for our sins. He didn't have to. he could have said, "What die for them you must be crazy." but that is not what he did. I am so thankful that he didn't do that. I am so glad he found it in His heart to die on the cross for me and for you. Now we can be saved, changed from the old sinful life to the new life full of grace from God. Thank you Jesus.......

| VBS 2008 Greenwood, MS Well, what an exciting time at the Greenwood Corps. We are finishing up a very successful VBS program this year. It is great to see the children from the neighborhood come, and so many from around the community. Our theme this year was on Sports, and the children loved learning there memory verses. Now is the hard work. After having a great program this week the work is keeping them interested in the fall programs. Please pray for us as we begin to build up the youth programs here at the corps. I believe in VBS, this is the program that brought my family into the Salvation Army. As we continue our work here I am reminded of a chorus that helps me when times are tough. “He’s Able” He’s able, He’s able I know He’s able. I know my Lord is able to carry me through. I hope this will uplift you all today. God Bless you, and God Bless the Salvation Army.

| Friday, July 25, 2008…. Sitting in the office roasting… The bookkeeper is off today, and of course it is payday today… As I sit and wait for the employees, I am reminded of how God waits for us. God waits for us to come to Him, to share in the blessings he has for us each day. What do we miss on those days that go by when we are to busy for God. I know that we are not to be to busy for God, but this world we live in doesn’t care if we have done our devotions, or even if we prayed to God. God cares… He is waiting to talk to you, or just listen. He loves you and wants to spend as much time with you as you will allow. He is our Savior, our Lord, our Friend, and he is always there waiting on you to just slow down and spend sometime with Him. I want to encourage you to spend a little more time with Jesus today, and go deeper with Him. So as you go through this day think of this chorus as you walk with Jesus. Come, beautiful Christ, Radiate thy beauty in me. ‘Tis thee I adore, What can I ask more Than to live for thee, beautiful Christ.

Well the day is almost here. Tommarrow we get the truck and begin to load all our things for the next chapter in our lives. We remember as we finish up the packing that GOD has a plan for us in Greenwood. Exactly what that is we don't know, but with an open mind and open hearts we go to serve GOD there in the Greenwood Corps.
Tonight we had our last supper!! (HA! HA!) pot-luck that is with the corps people. As we sat there with them it has finally hit me like a ton of bricks, We are really moving. We have only been here for 3 years, and planned to stay here until our Kroc project was completed. GOD on the other hand has new plans for us. We will begin our ministry on June 29th with our new corps people, and right now I would like to invite you all to come and share with us this exciting day at the Greenwood Corps on Stone Ave in the lovely town of Greenwood, MS. The days programs start at 9:45 am.
Thank you and God bless you all in your ministry, and remember please pray for us as we will be in prayer for your ministry that GOD has for you.
