I am 29 and have lived in Vegas for over 22 years. I have gone to Valley for over three years and love all the great people there. I serve in Multiple Ministries and am looking forward to growing deeper and allow God to show me all spectrum's of Christianity to its fullest!!

I was born in Rapid City at the Rapid City Regional Hospital on July 7-1978. I lived in a little town called Hot Springs sixty miles South West of Rapid City, six miles away from The Pine Ridge Sioux Indian Reservation near the place General Custer died in the battle of Wounded Knee.
I have more good memories than bad ones. I miss ice and snow sledding behind my Grand Parents House. I remember hitting speeds of around fifty on bare Ave a street that sat at a Forty degree angle. Sledding down it was a blast but very dangerous by Gods grace none of us kids died . I miss the times my Grandmother would take us down to a Indoor Swimming pool Called the Evans Plunge that is fed year around by the fall river heated by "Hot Springs" to around Seventy degrees. The Evans Plunge is made up of Water Slides and many pools from two feet for the Little kids to twelve feet for the grown kids “very fun”. We went fishing a lot with our Grandpa Clarence on Angostura a beautiful man made lake about ten miles from town.
My Father Randy used to tell my brothers and I stories that left us scratching our heads thinking ya right, to later realize the Old Man was not making any of it up. He told me once that he was working out in a blizzard where the Wind Chill factor was set around eighty below zero with a blow torch thawing water lines so Cattle Would not die of dehydration. Cold air is really dry. He told us about life out in the country and on the Great Plains you have to adapt to brutally harsh conditions or die. There where times the highway was under four feet of snow and my parents had to make due with what we had on stock witch was a lot in the massive freezer we had stocked up. My late Dad is my Hero next to Jesus and the many heros of the Bible. My father Randal Jonas was raised in Denver till he was thirteen after the divorce of my Grand Parents he moved out with my uncle Mike Harris out side of Hot Springs on a Ranch where he worked for a little over a year before marrying my mom Deborah after ten years of hard work my Dad decided to move out to Vegas to establish a place for us to live with better opportunities.
Two years later my Mom my brothers and I moved out to Vegas in 1986. I have lived in Vegas for Twenty-two years and have been saved for three. I have been going to Valley Bible Fellowship for over Three years it’s the Only Church I have been going to for over three years I have some really good memories I have gone on many mission trips and helped with a series of Homeless Ministries. I serve every other week down at the Las Vegas Rescue Mission and do some Internet Recording for NextStep Ministries in Las Vegas founded by Walter Kwasnieski a man that B/C understood what it was to live a Godless life style. It’s amazing to hear his testimony and how far he has gone with the Lord. The Lord transforms people that the world writes off for his Glory. The lord abundantly shares his glory with his kids. I absolutely love this Church this is a Spirit filled Church built on sound doctrine that cuts deep into the soul!! |
