Hey VBF! I am Steven Ratliff. I have a wonderful wife and two great children. My wife and I were married in 2000. I have attended Valley since 1979. ( Yeah I have been pretty much a life-r.) I am very involved in ministry. There is this great outreach christian music group out there named "Straight Street", if you haven't heard them...YOU BETTER! Well as you can probably tell, I am a part of that group. I play alto sax, and sing vocals for this group. We just love to use what GOD has given us for HIS glory only. My family is quite the "dune-a-holics". We love to take our quads
anywhere that has sand.(Glamis being MY favorite by far)
I want to tell you a little about my background---
I was brought up in a very loving home. I was shown what being a true CHRISTIAN was all about. I have parents that don't just talk the walk, but walk the walk. My parents taught me what GOD has commanded. I love my parents very much. It is truly an honor to be able to go to parents for good GODLY advise. I feel so fortunate that I never had to wonder where or what my parents were out doing. There honestly was never a function that I had that my parents weren't there..Either one or the other or both...
Now I have my own family..Quickly realizing that this isn't as easy as first anticipated. I have an incredible wife that loves me very much, and two awesome boys. I am truly lucky to have such a great family. GOD is continuing to mold and shape us daily. I am now learning how to be the father that GOD is calling me to be. I am excited to see where GOD takes us as a family. You really learn that you don't have things figured out when you have children. You had better believe that I do alot of praying for my family. God knows what we need, we just need to ask!
I have played alto sax. for most of my life. I was on the worship team at VBF. GOD moved my ministry in a different direction. "Straight Street" came about a few years ago. These are some of the greatest guys in the world. This is truly a brotherhood. I love them all as brothers. We just want to see GOD glorified in our music. It has nothing to do with us, but everything to do with Him. Thanks Ray for listening to what GOD has called us to do!!
I am now co-owner of a screenprinting and promotional products company. This is a family business that I own with my brother. We have seen GOD move in our business. I am excitedly anticipating the direction that GOD is taking us in this venture."PACIFIC PRINTMAKERS" is totally sold out to GOD. We want others to see that we are different. We are called to reach the lost. I want to use all avenues to do this. |
