About Me

I am a single Christian woman, age 40. I live alone and have no children. I work full time as a housecleaner. I am a 1985 graduate of State College Area High School and have lived in the State College/Bellefonte area most of my life. I currently live in Bellefonte, PA. I regularly attend Penns Valley Community Church in Spring Mills, PA.

My church is a part of Christian Missionary Alliance denomination, but I also like to fellowship at other local congregations--Assembly of God and Calvary Baptist.

I believe the experience of Pentecost--being baptized in the Holy Spirit is for today as well as the early church.

Interests

I like visiting state parks and forests. I enjoy scenic drives and one-day road trips. Since my church doesn't have evening service, I like to visit out-of-town churches that do have evening service. I would like to overcome my fear of rollercoasters--I have yet to get on one. I would also like to learn to ride and motorcycle and go hang gliding.

Movies

My favorite movies are Overboard, Towering Inferno, Caddyshack, the original Planet of the Apes, and The Blues Brothers.

Music

I enjoy contemporary Christian music--Salvador, Bebo Norman, Kutlass. I'm not really into female singers or bands. I also listen to Allman Bros., Lynyrd Skynyrd, Pink Floyd.

Books

I like Joyce Meyers, Lillian Braun, short mysteries, inspirational romance. My Bible of choice is NKJV. I really don't care for other translations.

Television

I like reruns from the 70s--All in the Family, Jeffersons, Sanford and Son. Also, the original Twilight Zone.

Suzanne... when I was a single mom... I too cleaned houses... loved having the quiet time to commune with HIM... it was as if those times alone with HIM (listened to tapes in the background too), were a time of inner cleaning/healing within my own heart.
