I am the mother of three wonderful children [Larry (13), Kelly (12), and Ryan (10)], and the wife of the most wonderful man on earth (voice_in_DC). I have known the Lord since my sophomore year at college, although He knew me before the world was formed. I met my husband when we were both in the US Air Force, stationed at Vandenberg AFB, CA. I currently run the family business (Jacob's Well, an independent Christian book, Bible, gift, and music store) in southern MD. Last year I received my black belt in Tae Kwon Do. This fall I hope to receive a second black belt in a Korean sword art that I study. I enjoy helping with science projects and Phys. Ed. classes at my children's school, writing on several martial arts forums, and teaching Tae Kwon Do and Kumdo part time in our community.
An Aside: Call me old-fashioned, but I believe that when a man and a woman marry, they become one, as a living parable to represent to the world the beauty of Christ's selfless love for His bride and the Church's complete devotion to Him; hence, why I (sword_in_DC) took my husband's (voice_in_DC) last name. No, my children are not deprived. Yes, all three of them can read. I still manage to catch 'CSI' or 'Numb3rs' occasionally on UHF, with an old set of 'rabbit ears', and thanks to Internet streaming and copious use of DVDs, I'm also a member of the Jack Bauer Fan Club. |
