I began attending Osborne in 1956 as a small boy. My family moved to Canada for a while, and then came back. My parents owned a construction business in the Valley, and the C-2 Cattle Ranch in a very remote area of British Columbia, Canada. So for many years I was back and forth a lot (but ONC was always my home church). I grew up simultaneously in 2 very different worlds! It was great!!
I left ONC in Jan. 1980 because I moved my family to British Columbia, Canada, and I've lived up here in B.C. continually since then. The only things I miss in L.A. are my great friends, the beaches and ocean, and Osborne Neighborhood Church!
I am currently living alone, on the edge of a small town in a valley nestled between mountains, on the shore of a huge lake. I attend a very good church here. But I could move back out in the 'bush' at the drop of a hat! I have always been happiest when living in the bush.
Many of you know my older brother and his wife - Greg 'n Angela Thomson as they are Osborne sponsored missionaries, and have been for over 35 years!
I'm hoping that this website will 'catch-on' at ONC as it would be a good place where old-timers that have moved away but really miss ONC could still be a bit connected!
So if you know any ONC old-timers who do not know about this site, please tell them!
I'll add more soon....
I've been unresponsive and out of touch with some of you lately due to health reasons.... sorry.

"If you give yourself to the hungry and satisfy the desire of the afflicted, then your light will rise in darkness and your gloom will become like midday. And the LORD will continually guide you, and satisfy your desire in scorched places, and give strength to your bones; and you will be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water whose waters do not fail."-Isaiah 58:10-11 Activities I Love: -Being in the bush -Hunting -Exploring -Fishing -Visiting with bush people

hey what does a star mean on a comment? does it mean i did something right? I'm all about approval. I thrive on it. speaking of eyes.... I have the beginnings of macular degeneration. That means I'll probabally be blind in my 80's it's a slow moving disease. If I make it to my 80's I'll be happy to feel my way around the house. :)

Regarding your comment to me, "This new background looks nice, but now I can't read some of the text! ...'specially the Comments. Is it just me? I don't know where my magnifying glass is!!!" My answer: I am having no problem reading the text on my page.....is your vision challenged? LOL - I have changed my background to something lighter, so you won't have to find your magnifing glass, at least to read my comments!
