Be sure to check the parish calendar online (via the website). Here are some things worthy of note:
Duane and Helja will be joining us either this Sunday or next. They are enroute from Finland to the mission field in Papua. Keep them and the people they serve in your prayers and please greet them when you see them.
Fr. Todd and Cherie will be in Ecuador the second week of February. Please pray for travel mercies for them.
Dr. Dave Barnett is preaching both services on February 17th.
The first and third Wednesdays during Lent will feature Stations of the Cross and Communion, and the second and fourth Wednesdays will be a service of contemporary evensong. All midweek service start times are at 7:00 PM. If you've never been on Wednesday night before, why not give it a try?
The men's discipleship group meets this Saturday, Feb. 9th at 8:30 AM.
There's a seminar for new vestry members (all vestry invited) on Feb. 23rd from 10:00 AM - 3:00 PM. It will be held at St. Matthew's Cathedral. Cost of lunch is $10.00. See Fr. Todd or Ed Charnock for details.
The chaplain we've been praying for (Fr. Steven -- his last name has slipped my mind!) will be with us the first Sunday in March. He'll be preaching on "Though I Walk Through the Valley of the Shadow of Death" and also will be sharing in the adult Sunday class. Please join us!
Easter is early this year -- March 23rd. Lots going on before then including a Valentine's Supper Dance on Feb. 16th, and children's First Communion. There will be two retreats after Easter -- one for the vestry, date TBA, and a women's retreat probably in April. Stay tuned for more details!
