I was reading in Hewbrews and figured this might be the state of the world address....
When God spoke from Mount Sinai his voice shook the earth, but now he makes another promise: "Once again I will shake not only the earth but the heavens also." This means that the things on earth will be shaken, so that only eternal things will be left. Since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be destroyed, let us be thankful and please God by worshiping him with holy fear and awe. For our God is a consumiming fire. Hebrews 12:26-29
Wow...is that what's going on? It seems a lot of people are feeling a "whole lot a shakin' goin' on" with the economy, war, jobs, relationships, etc. Maybe it's God shaking up the world by letting the world know that only those who are holding on to Him will withstand the shaking and burning. Maybe it's a call to those who don't have Him as their sure foundation, to fall down before Him NOW....ASAP!!!
I don't have all the answers, but I know to whom I belong.....and because of that, I know whatever happens I'll get through it.....
And I'm thankful!!!

Stress is a funny thing. It's something we all try to avoid but alas, it happens. Through our latest bout with it this week, we realized one thing.......God was in control. Of course we couldn't see how His hand had been at work until we got through it, but we discovered He was guiding and leading from the very beginning. We discovered our stress was so much less than it could've been had God not alerted us to an immediate problem.
We're all going to have stress & problems, but relying & knowing that God is in control, is the best stress-buster of all.
One of my favorite promises says it all....
For I know the plans I have for you. They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. Jeremiah 29:11
For this, I'm thankful!!

I had the honor of being a part of the baptism service at church on Sunday. I actually was able to give my testimony on a cardboard along with about 25 others. To see how God has touched and changed so many lives (in one setting) was uplifting and wrenching at the same time.
The process in choosing which testimony to share was a little challenging. God has answered so many prayers and blessed me so much over the years......let alone the big one....salvation!
God impressed upon me to share His recent working in me...... renovating my phsical body and more importantly my mind set about His temple.....His dwelling place.
For my testimony I used the word renovating, and I'm sure God gave me that word because He knew I would look it up to double check the spelling (He knows me well). As I checked out the spelling, I looked at the definition....."to return to original form". Wow!!! That is exactly what He is doing in me!!
I find it more than amazing that He can make us, mold us, and can also return us to the "original form" that He intended us to be.
Amazing!
