Good Morning All My Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
I couldn't let this day go by without telling you all: Because of all of you, I truly had a blessed birthday, full of laughter, love, blessing galore, and suprises to beat the band. It is truly a blessing when you see how God is using you and blessing you with family and friends like all of you.
I had....a suprise, some gifts, decor to match, but most all I had a blast! And for that I thank God for showing me not only how much I mean to others, but how much they mean to me...What better Birthday gift could there be...God, life (new life-salvation), family (a wonderful husband-and eight wonderful children all beautiful in their own right), friends (like all of you), and joy everlasting.
I am truly blessed...and for that I will say:
THANK YOU !!!

Good Afternoon All My Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
I am writing in request of prayers for the Agape Christian Fellowship of Friends Ministries. As you all know, Evangelist Keith Wilson has been working very hard to get the Word of God out to all nations, but it has been very difficult, especially since we have very limited funds to work with. I am not sure if you are all aware of the time, money and resources it takes to get the Word out. We have been soliciting help both, monetary and prayers, for the ministry to obtain radio air time, materials, computers, and a building. God has been blessing, but recently we had to discontinue the radio ministry that Evang. Wilson was hosting each Sunday at 7:30-7:45 AM on 102.5 FM in Louisburg, NC.
As disheartening as it is to see the local radio ministry be put on hold, it is also a press to raise funds for the ministry's works. We know that God is able to do exceedingly, abundantly above all that we can ask or think, so we are believing God will handle all of the situations that arise whether they be monetary or otherwise.
If you all would gather with us on May 8th to fast and pray. We are planning to fast from 12AM until 6PM on May 8th, and we are praying that God will move on the behalf of the ministry. We are praying for the following:
*Revival
*Funding for Ministerial Needs
**Building to house Agape Christian Fellowship of Friends Ministries
*God to open up opportunities for the ministry to reach across international boundaries to save those who don't know Christ as Savior.
I hope that all of your will touch and agree with me on this day. The prayers of the righteous availeth much!!

Reflections....
With this month being the National Black History month, I thought it only right to reflect on the past and appreciate our heritage. We have seldomly thought to go all the way back past slavery times here in the US of A and take it back to the Biblical times when the Egyptian, Ethiopians and other ethnic races roamed the earth. We often think only back to the times when we struggled with freedom here, forgetting that in those times we not only struggled for freedom here but we fought for times past when we were honored members of the communities we lived in. You see if you trace times back to the Biblical days, we actually were queens, kings, princes and princesses of our native countries. Our heritages were even found in the bible, go back and look at the Ethiopian Eunuch, reading scriptures looking for understanding. We can even go back to the times when Cleopatra, and others ruled the lands. All people of color, although some were what we would considered foolish in their beliefs, but they were definitely honored in the native lands. So, with this month of reflections of times past, why not go back a little further past MLK, Rosa Parks, and all those other modern day Black Historians, and go back to the Biblical Black Historians who paved the way for our history here in the Americas. Learn of your heritage and appreciate your culture. We all need to Reflect, Research and Resolve to be better people today then on yesterday.

Good Morning!
Belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!!
It has been another blessed Christmas with family and friends. We missed being on MYChurch and Blog talk Radio, but all is still pressing forward for the Lord. We are still praying for the blessing to go forth. God is in the way making business so all is well despite the ploys of the enemy to stop the Gospel message. We are still spreading the Word, and we thank God for all the opportunities that are being presented.
I would like to personally, on behalf of Evangelist Keith and Family, say a HUGE: THANK YOU to everyone!!!! For all of your messages, comments, gifts of love (offerings $$$$and prayers) that you have been sending us. We appreciate the cards we have received and the e-messages we have gotten all of them have been uplifting and just the love we need to help us press forward toward the mark. We look forward to being able to be back live and on line with you all very soon. God is making ways and to all who have been sending love offerings for our Computer fund, Thank you! thank you! thank you! It brings tears to my eyes to know that there are still those brothers and sisters in Christ that know what Being our brothers keepers means. We pray your blessings in the Lord.
Also, be in prayer that the Lord will greatly use Evang. Keith on tonight...He will be preaching at Eagle Faith Ministries on tonight for their Winter Revival and be sure to pray that the Winter Revival will be a huge blessing to all that attend.

All these headlines, emails, and articles about: Racial Profiling? Racism? Segregation? In America in the year 2007?!? Are you serious? What in the world was MLK fighting for? In the infamous words of Marvin Gaye, "What's Going On?"
When I read the email that went out from friends and family about the Jena 6, my mind immediately went back to the times of Civil Rights, and even more revelant my middle school years in Pennsylvania. Americans for some reason think that Integration was the end of the racial hatred in America. Sadly mistaken. There are still places in America, people and entities (group, associations and brotherhoods) that are promoting, practicing and protecting racism, hatred, and segregation even now in the year 2007.
I recall when I was younger, living in Pennsylvania experiencing that individualized hatred, racism even. I was called the N word, which of course caused me to fight the caucasian girl on several different occasions. Each time I was suspended from school. I wasn't punished at home for retaliating, only because of the nature of the situation, but never once did the school, DA, or families think to take me to court or try to impose charges on me for the fight? Not that I am consenting or promoting retaliation (fighting), but she got a well deserved butt whooping!
So, when I heard about the Jena 6, I was utterly appaulled. I couldn't image being in middle school, feeling threatened, called racial slurs (N word, Monkey, Gorilla, etc.) and upon retaliation, charged with Attempted Murder, no less facing 15 years in prison. That just doesn't make sense...no sense at all.
First of all, I have to ask: How in the world is the U.S. Government allowing a state, city, town, let alone a District Attorney be racial, discriminatory, and down right ignorant? That foolishness should have went out with the Great Depression. I am really outraged!
As you probably can tell, this is a passion of mine, Civil Rights. If I do nothing else at all on this blog, I would like to encourage all of you to take a stand for the Jena 6 and everyone else who is suffering from racism and its horrible effects. It is high time that we stand UNITED, as Christians, despite your ethnic background, against this type of discrimination that is occurring all over the United States and World.
It is high time that we uncover the hidden racism, hidden segregation that is occuring right here in North Carolina, and all over this world.
While listening to the transcript of the Father of the young man, Mychal, who is facing 15 yrs in prison, and his lawyer speak about the details of the case:
These six young people, were inadvertently threatened for sitting under a "whites-only" tree, jumped at a party, threatened at a local gas station by grown men with guns, and prior to all of this threatened by the DA, who told them that he had the power to put them away for life, still not finished...after retalliating on one of the young men who hung the neuse from the tree, was sentenced as an adult to 15 years for attempted murder. Shouldn't that move us to do something?
I am asking all of you, write your congressman and senators, better yet the President, participant in the petition, tell other, donate to the fund, buy the t-shirt, PRAY...PRAY...PRAY! Justice must be served. The prayers of the righteous availeth much. If we pray in unity for these young men, and put forth a conscious effort to educate our children and adults about history and our individual rights and what it took to get to where we are right now, I believe that some change is bound to occur. We must be adament about this! We must do something and do it now? We can't keep letting things go! We can't keep sweeping the ignorance of others under the rug!
We must stand for something or we are going to fall for anything. This young man, Mychal's future is in our hand are we going to allow the hatred seed to continue to grow and flourish ruining this young man's life. This is not acceptable, we won't settle for this type of treatment any longer! |
