About Me

Pastor Cornelia is a native of Winchester Va., at age 9 her family moved to Utica NY. Pastors Cornelia and Gregory were united in Holy Matrimony on June 24th, 1978. Although they were told that would not be able to have children with much pray and fasting, after two years of marriage God blessed them with four beautiful children Min. Cornelia Elizabeth Brown-Bennett, Regina Monique Brown-Higgs, Gregory C. Jackson-Brown, and Jeremy Cordarrel Jackson Brown, they adopted two children Robert and Geraldine Stringfield, Pastors Brown are currently in the process of adopting a 5 year old son Jayvon Jackson-Brown and a 14 year old girl DesJanee Soyer (Brown). Pastors Cornelia and Gregory have fostered over 50 foster children for the House of the Good Shepherd.

Pastor Cornelia was not raise in church. She only went to church as a family when she would visit her Grandmother France Cornelia Roberts. She loved visiting during the summer and holiday just to attend this place called church. It was very different from the service her mother sent her to at the local Salvation Armies, even though she did learn basic religious instruction. She read the New Testament over and over as it appeared in a comic book form. She also attended weekly Catholic Religious instruction classes and visited area local churches which were in walking distant to her home, as she searched for God. She has a deep love for the Word of God.

At age 14, Pastor Cornelia was invited to visit a church with a friend (Christ Temple Church). Pastor Cornelia eagerly join Christ Temple Church under the leadership of Bishop Williams Thomas and Rev. Glennis E. Ashley, she was baptized, filled with the Holy Ghost. She told her friend Gregory (Pastor Gregory Brown) that if she was to marry him he would have to get saved.

Pastor Gregory was raised by his Grandmother the late Mother Mary Brown. However, he stopped attending church as he got older. Mother Brown did not pressure him to attend church; she prayed the God would protect her grandson and lead him to a place he would feel comfortable worshiping. Pastor Gregory would also receive the Holy Ghost. Pastors Cornelia and Gregory became very involved in the church. They were taught and trained in the ways of God, and how to walk in their courtship in a Godly manner. Pastor Cornelia also learned about a gift that she always had and lived with called prophecy. Cornelia thought everyone was able to see things before hand. The ministry God lead Pastor Cornelia to, at a young age taught and trained her how be a Godly young woman and to walk in the office of a Prophetess. They spent over 25 years in the same ministry, with many obstacles.

In October 1996 due to a house fire Pastors Gregory and Cornelia moved from Brookfield, NY to Rome, NY where Pastor Gregory currently works for the Department of Correction. In June of 1997 Pastor Cornelia Jackson-Brown founded the Solid Rock Christian Center, where she along side her husband Pastor Gregory Brown serves as Sr. Pastors.

Pastors Cornelia and Gregory have a sincere burden for all of humanity. Their desire is to ensure that people are well informed of the message of Jesus Christ and the Kingdom of God. They desire to teach them who they are in Jesus Christ.

Pastor Cornelia also desires to see the families healed and strengthened. Society seems to have forgotten just how important strong families are in the world. The family has lost their faith in God and has allowed the world systems to dictate how a the family structure should function in the world today. Our mission is to “Build Strong Families on a Solid Foundation“and encourage the family to pray and seek God together, remember “The family that prays together stay together.”

It is Pastor Cornelia’s desire to see the family working together in the kingdom of God and to see the family mature, into loving and caring ministers of righteousness.
