Our will is not strong enough to overcome the demons that influence us. These must be expelled in order for him to be free. As you said, they are inner demons. They are trespassers, and need to be commanded to go in Jesus name. He must know that he struggles not with flesh and blood, but with satans powers who have been defeated through the atoning sacrifice of our Lord Jesus Christ. He must also know that once freed he must resist the temptations of the devil or he puts himself into a position of further influence. I will pray for your brother to be freed.
