Praying...

Good morning. Just to let you know that Fr. Don Hickerson fell asleep in the Lord this morning, November 18. Thank you for your prayers for him during these last several days. Here is a brief chronology of sacramental events: I anointed him on November 8 and administered Viaticum on November 15. On November 16 I prayed the Joyful Mysteries with him. On November 17 I said the prayers of commendation and the Apostolic Pardon. And honestly, Viaticum was the last Food he ate before becoming unconscious. He was also attended by two other priests from the Salisan Order and the prayers of countles people. As a priest-friend of his told me this morning: "He had it all; when I die, with my luck, the closest priest will be a thousand miles away." Thank you for your presence to him these last several years and especially these last two weeks.

Fr. Vincent I don't know what to say. I want to say I'm sorry to hear that he passed away but at the same time I want to say that im happy for him. Were all gonna miss Fr. Don but when he gave his last mass which was on November the 1st he gave such a beautiful mass and he did let all of us know that he was gonna go to be with the lord and he was so happy and at peace with it. That's why I'm so happy for him. But yes we will continue to pray for him because he did ask us to pray. And we will miss him alot. But i know one day we will see him again in heaven.
